I gotten my UV steriliser from 11street (link here Coby UV Bottle Sterilizer - Blue The best thing is can use installment, cause outside shops don't accept installment. So far using it Day 2, I feel it's better than my Avent wet steriliser.

i never used sterilizer. just washed properly and once in a while boil the bottle and teat. nothing beats boiling the bottle. but actually its not that necessary as long as you properly clean it. killing off 99.99% of all bacteria or germs is not necessarily a good thing...

For me it's more of a convenience thing rather than effectiveness. With sterilizer, you can just turn the thing off and leave it till the next time you want to use it. With boiling, you have to be aware of the cook fire, and after done you have to put all the utensils away.

Children need to be exposed to bacteria. So boiling the stuff once a week or even at wider intervals haha.

TS, uPpang got accesories to buy where CobyUV did not say they have accesories to change the UV or IR light.
I bought uPang and its convenient that u get less water and dont have to take it out and place on a rack to dry and become a storage box when you need them.
Cheers

Steriliser is good, where you can dump bottles, utensils and bowls into it (then sterilise) after wash, keep them away from lizard or cockroaches.
The size of avent sterlilizer is not not able to cater the needs of 2 babies (all in).

I'm sorry but everytime I hear any parents or non parents say things like expose them to bacteria cannot be too clean I feel like I'm gonna rage. Though this is 2016 post I'm still gonna rage because they are INFANTS. Every single genius who said that are saying it for their OWN CONVENIENCE. Cause taking precaution for INFANTS is tedious and takes a lot of discipline , time and energy. Stay away from any parents who said such things and better yet few years later tell you "see my kid ok also" because they are a danger to other kids just like those who refuse to use baby seat, my kid still grow up what. Until they don't.

Back to topic...
Waterless UV sterilizer is good because you can put anything that fits into it including toys that cannot be steam, clothe or utensils etc.

PP melting point is 160C. UV will disintegrate the plastic, making it flaky. and some flakes may go into milk. a short burst using UVC lamp to kill heat resistant microbs is ok but not under the sun for long time. do let me know if this is wrong.

I've already shortlisted a couple of UV light sterilizer and discarded steam options. Now I'll need to do more research on this matter first.
