For point No 2, I recall that it was not written by you friend Avangelice, if does not originate from you and you do not attach the source, and you made it appears to have come from you as original, then it is called plagiarism.

Yeah off topic a bit:

When some author took the trouble to write lengthy explanation, it is only courteous to acknowledge their effort by attaching the source. You should not copy and paste and let it be to appear as though that material come from you. You are a medical doctor, you'd understand bibliography, don't you?

Distribution is really annoying. I got caught many times before. They should have a way to alert people about distribution, via email would be good enough.

After factoring distribution, actual drop is 0.39%. Not so bad lar.

like I said I gain no fame from doing so and if the people who went through page 1 (IN WHICH THEY SHOULD) they would have known its from page 1 so I do not see the problem. that's the thing about being spoon fed. they don't think.

fine I'll edit it then. Christ.

actually there is. if you log in and see your holding there will be a red symbol next to the fund. it's not the best but that's how I found out. they should utilize the fsm app for this it has potential to be a great app

legit debate here.

what if they get rid of it. how would they return us the dividends? how do they pull down the price of the fund that's already very "expenskve"? so far I understand the need of it just that maybe the execution on their side leaves much to be desired

Ha.. fund managers should not have a price at all.. they should just have a current value. When you subscribe, you subscribe at X value. Then when you redeem you redeem at Y value. If you have a dividend declared, that should not really affect the value of the fund significantly because if you hold hundreds of companies, one div declaration will not make too much of a difference. Don't see why they can't just ignore it. It goes out, it comes it later.. for the time being why don't they just pretend it doesn't exist smile.gif

They could do it infrequently, pretty much like TA Global Tech. If my memory serves me right, I got email about their 5 for 1 split.

Yup... for normal UT... i know they still got lower sales charge... but looks like they really don't earn anything from PRS fund though....

QUOTE(Avangelice @ Dec 21 2016, 10:15 AM)
do note that they get their monies from investors like us who purchase equities into our personal portfolios and everything is Do-it-yourself in fsm. All they do is help us process the buy and sell of our funds unlike agent based commissions.

regards.

Just keep the price stable (ie. assume the dividend has already been credited.)  If they want to pull down the price they can dilute (ie. give you four units at 0.25 for your one unit at Rm1) then drop the price. This won't take 2 weeks to a month to settle smile.gif

But why would anyone want to do even that.. Berkshire Hathaway is $249,041 a share now smile.gif
*
Apparently the fund houses have very elaborate processes to go thru to credit the additional units, so they can't make it within the same day. But the lag gives people heart attack !

even that people were screaming back then why TA Global went down by a good 5% was it? so ultimately even if we do a once a year thing people are still gonna have heart attacks.

so it boils down to being notified before the dividend give away. again I have already inform FSM to steam line their mobile app to copy the portfolio into the favorites list so we do not have to do a constant log in (wipe data if server resets) and from there the app can pick up an incoming dividend and place a pop up of the impending dividend.

Come on fsm. get your app developer to improve the app instead of turning it into the run of the mill watch list app
