Hmm. Thinking of getting myself a PSP too.

So basically, if all I want to do is play original games and view pics+vids on the PSP, I just need to update to the latest 3.72 firmware?

Is there anyone who still sells the PSP that doesn't have custom firmware besides GH?

Also, since I'm not really storing anything on the MSPD, will I need the 4GB one off the bat?

Been browsing the trading threads and I can safely say I've got a lot of back titles that will run me less pain on the wallet. I do hope that coming this late won't penalise me too much...

During lunchtime I went to sell my Halo 3 at sg wang...did a recon of the prices for PSPs there...holy SHIT!

Expect to be quoted prices as high as RM 930 for a PSP Slim+2Gb MSPD!

And good luck asking for "original firmware"...

BTW, is there any harm upgrading from custom firmware to the sony latest?

I just got my PSP slim yesterday - unflashed from GH. Gonna be trying to download stuff from the PS Store.

You're asking why ppl are buying the Slim? It's a matter of preference dude. There's no difference in gameplay, sure. But I guess maybe some people like that it's lighter. and for some people (like me) the thought of using the PSP to show my pix or videos from my MSPD on the tv during raya is kinda cool. I'm not gonna use the TV out for video games, that's just silly. So since it's a free country, just let ppl buy whatever PSP they like lar.

No prob dude - like I said la, some of them maybe want the latest and greatest, or some just like it because it's slimmer, or some cannot find the old one anymore lol.

3.8 firmware? The easiest way is to use the wifi connection to get the firmware.
