Custom firmware user can upgrade their firmware to the latest custom firmware. Now the latest custom firmware is 3.52 M33, same with official firmware..also 3.52...but with lots more.

oh...ic. Basically custom firmware can upgrade anytime but official firmware will have more difficulties changing the firmware since you said ONLY 3.50 can downgrade to 1.5 then install custom firmware. Wow...wonder if the new PSP will be affected as well.

What I meant by "how to enjoy life with just 1 game..." is the 1 game that comes with the PSP package if I get the slim PSP. No money to buy new UMD

Official firmware can go up easily, wanna go down thats a lil problem. As i said, for now..only official 3.50 can go down to 1.5 (downgrade). Basically custom firmware is base on 1.5 firmware. And yea...custom firmware user can go up and down easily between official 1.5 and custom firmware.

Of coz it will. It said that psp slim gonna use 3.60, for now sure la cannot downgrade. Thats why la for few posts we said...need to WAIT.

Item not even launched but why everyone so kecoh can play homebrew or not.. want 100% can play homebrew just buy current model and stop whining...

go recovery menu.

IF you dont know recovery menu, i assume you are using official firmware so enable it using internet.
ELSE do more reading about cfw recovery menu.

*edit* after 10++ times of restarting... i found out must press the monitor button to light up the menu...

you might wanna try looking for homebrew apps that allow you to play OGG files,as they are alot smaller than WMA.

AAC is the better alternative actually. If only the PSP is able to support HE V2+ AAC then @ 32kbps the audio will sound exactly the same as a 192kbps MP3.

hmm, same display bug like happened to lakum. you need to press display button to see the menu right? why dont you try 3.52 m33? its much better and no display bug that happened to you. can play games without umd too..

Well, i am not sure bernard did anything to mine or not but i can activate the WMA and Flash.

What i did was, to connect to the internet via wifi, and then press the active WMA file link at the PSP and i am good to go. Same goes to the flash...

Well, i am personally trying to find applications that allow me to play AVI, OGG, etc files directly via the PSP but so far, still no luck.

any link for detail steps??!??!

i really scare to brick the PSP..

detail steps go to maxconsole or psphacks forum.

for xlink kai, preferably Planex usb dongle. RM69 at AllIT Hypermarket, LYP. 100% can use for kai..

if I may ask...aside the 1.50 firmware, what was the next custom firmware that allowed homebrew games? Just for info...
