Hi guys, I wanted to ask which PSP is more worth it to buy, is it from
SOny authorized seller, or FROM normal shops where can be easily found at SG Wang, Lowyat and ect which doesnt provide Sony's 5 years warranty.
Actually I know nothing much about PSP and Im not interested at all to buy
a PSP previously. But suddenly my lil sister asked me to buy for her
birthday on mid of December.

As for me, money is not an issue. Ive checked SOny Style website and
the current price for PSP Slim (PSP-2006) is rm799.

I wonder what will be included in the box?
And, If I were to buy an original PSP Slim from SOny Style,
could I play the PSP games that can be downloaded from internet without modify anything or downgrade the chip?
And If I buy the UMD original games(the one that looks like catridge) which normally costs about rm100++, can I copy the game into the PSP memory and play the game from the memory instead from the catridge.
Sorry for the noob questions.

basically I don't recommend to buy from Sony-MY. RM799 is just to chop vegetable head, compare with Singapore and HK, their PSP Slim price is around RM600+ after conversion to MYR. If you stay at JB then can go Singapore to buy, then mod the firmware here and it's still cheaper than RM799.

guys i have a problem with my psp, where my psp is working well with everyhing except it cant reach the UMD!!!

what is the problem? i try to switch different UMD's but still cannot solve.

Any suggestion where to repair? how much usually does it cost?

i juz bought a new psp wif 3.71 m33-2 firmware
i dl some softwares such as ereader n pspcomic and install them under psp\game150 and psp\game. When i try to run them, errors occur. it always give a error code 8002014c. Why does this happen?
N why some of my mp3 files with japanese character cant be displayed properly but some can?

using psp slim? slim cannot run homebrew which require 1.5 kernal..

basically.. NO u cant.in order to run games inside ur mspd,u need a CFW. no other way to play it. so think deeply what u want.u did say money is not a problem for you...so i dont think 5yrs warranty bother u so much.just buy new PSP when the old one broken. hahaha.. i'm sure 5 UMD game are about the price as 1 PSP.

One noobie question, when I transfer my songs into the Music folder, how do I make the cover art appear on the PSP slim when playing the album/ songs? Because I have one album where the cover art appears but the rest does not. Any setting, or any specific naming convention for the cover art? By the way, i'm using CFW 3.71 m33-3.

u need to do it with media player 11(i heard itunes can do that also)..actually the cover/image is embedded to the mp3 file itself.

i tried disable umd, but theres so many chices like m33 no umd, sony?? no umd, dll...

if it can be seen on Vista, then it should be seen on PSP too

Try reformat it using card reader..

card reader also cannot...

my idea is that ur MSPD might be faulty.

guyz, um about to buy a psp slim and lite which comes with umd disc (which i donno whut its for) here in dubai. price is around 700+

q1) actually im focusing on music listening. can psp take high VBR mp3 file? will it play? how is the sound quality sony psp produce? does it have any custom equalizer?

q2) lets say um listening only to da music, how long will the battery will last? whut about movie, how long will it last?

q3) can psp battery be charge with only usb cable connected to pc?
