Hello there! I have been playing dota 2 with no issues until about a month ago. My ping to the dota 2 server is about 50 but then it will spike to 1000 for reasons not known to me. After that the ping goes back down to 50 (according to cmd ping) but my game is stuck at 300 ping. After a few minutes the game will smooth again but the problems happens again and again. I used to think its my computer but its one year old and the problem wont happen after 11pm. It starts at 8pm. Please help. Even tho dota lags the internet speed is fast and i can stream hd vids as usual

I've experience the exact same thing in the past 2 weeks. I'm using TIME 100Mbps btw.
Players online has been saying its because of a recent update.
Not sure how true is that tho.

It feels good and bad to know that I'm not alone in this. Where you staying at? I read a similar thread and that guy lives in taman seputeh. I do too.

And so you're just tolerating the highping right now?

I'm at Cyberjaya. At first I thought it was because of my modem/ISP cause when I switched to my mobile hotspot once.Smooth and no spike. Eats around 1MB per minute of game.


But the problem didn't appear in the past week already. Gaming happily. lol.
