i thought there's a similar thread? https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3776619and my advice for those who are planning to apply for subclass 189/190... if you have no idea where to start, get a quote from a registered MARA agent, its free anyway... from there try to DIY... unless you really have no time or have complicated issues, all the steps and docs needed are listed on www.border.gov.au even if you are going for an agent, try to sort calculate your own score first and if needed, get your IELTS done ASAP... i've seen cases where the visa application dragged for years cos that person wasn't able to get band 7 or 8 in all modules... its a waste of time and money... QUOTE(IsildursHeir @ Oct 22 2016, 10:33 PM) Folks Wanted to know if anyone knows of a shipping company / agency which has been helpful to ship household goods from KL to Sydney? I plan to only send boxes, not other stuff like TV etc. POS Laju is an option, but probably better rates with more specialized agency? there's one i found called seven seas, looks not bad as they have an interactive estimator the largest box i tried can fit a queen and king size mattress, 3 seater sofa, and still has space for 3-4 more boxes, around RM5k from KL to Melbourne then another AUD500 from Melbourne to the place you live if you do find any other info, do share bro, i'm looking for one also

QUOTE(duckhole @ Oct 24 2016, 01:50 PM) not hard to work overseas, many companies are hiring expats own country not enough talent as usual it doesn't make financial sense to employ someone overseas unless that person has some rare special skill set

QUOTE(duckhole @ Oct 24 2016, 03:13 PM) well even hair dresser is qualified as i read before not sure now pretty sure if you go through that list have more also why only look for australia, many other countries you can go also let's not get confused by a job qualified for PR application vs already having a PR and looking for a job PR just means you are eligible to work legally in a country, doesn't mean you WILL get the job that you want finally, you came into a Serious Kopitiam thread that specifically states Australia on the title and trolled on it

QUOTE(IsildursHeir @ Oct 24 2016, 09:14 PM) Thanks mate. That's the one I have found as well. Fairly positive reviews on another forum specific to NZ migration. Just that my shipping needs are much less, so they may be higher scale than I need. I have also checked with UPS and their rates are quite good (KL to Aus is in Zone 2 for them so good rates). I will let you know what else i find. i'm still considering which to use, cos if its too expensive, i might just forego the larger items then just send small items only thanks bro

QUOTE(Kelly_Sim @ Oct 28 2016, 08:56 PM) My hubby got invitation to apply for SA today. However, due to current situation, any peeps out there could advise us? As my baby is due in another 4 months, I cant go for Xray and bodycheck. what can we do? I heard that we can ask DIBP to defer and set our application aside, and do the healthcheck once baby delivered. and then apply me and baby together as dependant. Is this true? Will they discard my hubby application? if you already have a case officer assigned to you, you can email them and let them advice you on your situation from what i read, you can always ask for an extension if you need more time to provide any documents that they request for good luck and congratulations

QUOTE(zephyrus9999 @ Feb 15 2017, 11:33 PM) Sharing only. Friend grad with eng degree in aus, failed to secure a proper eng job (in not surprised with typical msian communication capacity). Multilingual but useless if can't master one. Accepted job as a techie doing 20/hr, close to the min wage. Non exec freelance worker. Worked a year then got pr around thr (2016). Happy with life, renting and living frugally at Sydney. Promotion prospect = negative outlook. Perm contract conversion = negative outlook. Dunno why gotta take life till so jit toh.. The poison of short term thinking among our generation + fuel of bad prospect of beloved Malaysia? do you reckon he will do better if he comes back to Malaysia?

QUOTE(zephyrus9999 @ Feb 17 2017, 03:43 PM) I'm not judging him tho. As long he's happy with it then it's fine. Bangla coming our country and happy with min wage so... diff ppl diff views n path of success. If me I'll rather start locally with good prospects and move in after I build certain skills That makes the bulk of the skilled migration... but it also depends on luck, unless u have niche skills, else it's still difficult to find a job overseas... why choose a foreigner over a local?
