not if niantic keep moving the goal post and try to defeat u with each rollout. eventually even the best devs will quit

quite frankly, they shud concentrate on fixing the numerous bugs that is killing the game instead of targeting communities that actually make the game more fun

Before the recent updates, I looked forward to going back to my wife's hometown.  At night, my brother-in-law and I would drive around the pokestops and check out the gyms.  Being an average-sized town, the stops were too far to walk.  We used Pokemesh to hunt down interesting mons, and had a lot of fun until late night / early morning.

Now Pokemesh can't be used (until v10 recently, but it isn't the same anymore), and sightings go blank once we hit 40km/h.  It's quite a turn off.  Now we watch TV at home instead.

It's the final nail in the coffin for rural players.  Few Pokestops, less Pokemons, no sightings.

I still play daily in KL, though.

it's misplaced priorities really.

to me, the scanners were filling a gap niantic should have filled in the first place but didn't. with scanners, more ppl actually play the game and thus more revenue

now, without scanners players will have to randomly bump into mons. good luck with that
