Hello Team Nikon !

Any D7000 owners here?

Any of you face soft images issue? Despite shooting at high at speed, most of the time I'm getting soft images. Been searching up a lot, saw a lot of post regard D7000 focusing issue.

I'm planning to send my body for service. What is the rough cost?

i had 2 d7000s and both of them are quite accurate in terms of focusing, maybe its something to do with your lens?

That happens on my both lens. Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 & Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art.

Strongly believe it's the body since it has never been for service before. Guess is time for some medication. Haha

Yo Nikon-ian.

I'm looking into getting a speedlite.

Any recommendation between SB700 vs SB910?

Seems like SB910 got the wins.

I have recommendation of Godox TT685 from close friend of mine.

Any feedback on this ?

because if your considering SB910. means you already can afford, hahaha

Affordable but if possible to save then i wanna save down a bit to spend on spend spare batteries on camera and flash.

KLDSLR selling Godox 685 at RM450 right now. If Godox can do the shop, I would snatch on Godox 685, I have never physical use it before. So I'm seeking for comments between both.

We travel a lot when covering actual day weddings and tend to see a lot of 'stuffs' going on most of the time laugh.gif
Managed to take a shot of a random Rempit in 'superman' posture with the help of DS_Legacy on the highway

I'm curious how to shoot this kind of shot, as in the setting.

Object tack sharp with motion background.

Just checked my settings, the shot was taken at:
ISO100 to ensure highest IQ
F4.5 to get some bokeh without risking losing focus of the subject
1/400 shutter speed. Wanted to go slower like 1/100 but it was not possible with the car jerking on the rough road (the shot will also be overexposed if I go for low shutter speeds. The shot was taken at around 120km/h.

The motion blur of the original shot was not this dramatic haha, post-processing was done to make it look faster laugh.gif
The key to a shot like this is to ensure that you are going at the same speed as the subject without losing your focus on the subject, which means your driver has to be damn good laugh.gif

I see. I thought the original shot can be so damn drama. Yet to try shot like this. Maybe one fine day. Thanks for sharing.

Your myvi driver damn good skill as I know tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

need the feedback first before pulling the trigger.  blush.gif
yep. d750. need a replacement from the kit 24-120 f4 due to my clumsiness. fall down, crack the glass.  cry.gif

group photo and close up portrait are what I mostly do. plus lately im kinda into light and airy so having a wider aperture would be a plus.  blush.gif

if only i can afford the 1.4  moneyflies.gif
thinking of 35 or 28 coz sometime, in malay wedding the families come in large group, worried if 50 not wide enough and the space is limited.  sweat.gif

If you're favor of going for prime line up for weddings, I would suggest you to have a second FF body. With that, you can have, say 35mm and 85mm on hand all the time without wasting time to change lenses and missing moments.

Budgetary prime lenses(used unit), you may consider going:
24m f/1.8 = RM2000+-
35mm f/1.8 = RM1500+-
50mm f1/.8 = RM600+-
85mm f/1.8 = RM1100 +-

Going full prime lenses line up for paid shoot, it's better to have at least a 24mm in your bag as you wouldn't know how tight the place will end up or how huge the group could be.

Most of the time I'm using 35mm + 85mm, unless the house is small then I would switch to 24mm + 50mm.

Once again, depend on your style and direction. I did bought a 24-70mm and kept in bag for the sake of the 24mm if I needed it. Other than that, I really don't bother using it. Then i made up my mind to let it go and jump into 24mm prime which I used it even more.

I've been using dual DSLR for wedding. D600 and D750.

Honest feedback that D600 has sharper image compare to D750.

But I noticed that D600 WB is slightly on the greenish side when both bodies shoot on the same setting and spot. A little frustrating for post processing.

I'm in the dilemma to upgrade my D600 to another unit of D750 or Z6 in November. Argh
