QUOTE(jchue73 @ Jan 31 2017, 05:41 PM) If they go back to Nikon, wouldn't it cost the same or even more? Normally they just get the parts and repair it by themselves. So maybe slightly cheaper? QUOTE(gerald7 @ Feb 2 2017, 08:17 AM) Kinda hard for me, as im back in my home town already. Okay so @jchue73 is correct, its to replace the lens barrel and fungus cleaning totaling 2942 then 6% gst. If the cost is that much might as well get a 2nd hand unit. It is around the same price.

Hi masters. Need advice.
I prefer to take landscape photography so now I'm thinking of upgrading from D7200 to D750. Is this a good upgrade or I should upgrade my lens instead?
Currently using Tokina 11-16 F2.8 for landscape photography.

QUOTE(goldfries @ Nov 14 2018, 04:44 PM) Depends on what you're lacking. Been using crop sensor since 5 or 6 years ago, starting with D90 -> D7200. Feels like the dynamic range is lacking compared to FF. Since D750 now promotion, RM1100 cash back & 1+1 years warranty, am thinking it might be time for me to move to FF QUOTE(greggs @ Nov 14 2018, 05:48 PM) if you are to upgrade to D750, you probably will sell your Tokina or you may continue using it at 16mm with vignette on the 4 corner. So all in there will be increase of costing as you might need a new wide angle, perhaps the 16-35mm f/4. Like goldfries say, depends on what you are lacking. Will definitely change the lenses also. But slowly lah because of the cost . Planning to sell of all my DX gears and upgrade to FF.

QUOTE(goldfries @ Nov 14 2018, 10:17 PM) If DR is what you want then yes. How old is your D7200? Comes with the kit lens? 3 years old . Just got the body and bought 17-55mm F2.8 separately. I have a 35mm F1.8G and a Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 also.

QUOTE(COOLPINK @ Dec 3 2018, 05:18 PM) that dreaded word for lens - haze. lens haze got 2 types: 1) caused by fungus/water mark 2) caused by delamination of lens coating/glue if #1 you can clean it. if #2 gone case already. Need to send to shop to check

QUOTE(celciuz @ Dec 3 2018, 09:56 PM) Ouch, better pray its the outer element only... at least replace one je. Sent to shop for cleaning. They say might not need to replace element, just cleaning is enough. Left the lens there for them to check and clean. After 2 weeks only will know for sure whether I need to change or not
