hmm i am looking at "XIAOMI TRAVEL BUSINESS BACKPACK "
thinking to use it as everyday bag and i wonder it can fit D800+24-70 lens (attach together) + charger not (and put ipad as well) anyone using xiaomi bags for carrying camera? i wonder quality and rain resist for that? video link for pic » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « this one looks nicer » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « first time to hear a tech brand for bag, wonder it is nice like manfrotto bags or not This post has been edited by Agito666: Nov 27 2018, 11:06 AM |

QUOTE(COOLPINK @ Nov 28 2018, 08:45 AM) i have no experience with the XIAOMI TRAVEL BUSINESS BACKPACK, thanks for the input but i do use a normal backpack to carry my camera around. i cant really recommend using a normal backpack to carry a full size DSLR although it will fit easily. there is no compartments inside the backpack unlike a real camera bag to hold your camera in place. this means the camera will be shifting in your bag pack and will be jutting against your body after a while so it will be uncomfortable at some point. Jutting against the backpack will also mean sooner or later your backpack will tear. there is very little compartments to carry extra gears especially lenses and from the looks of the xiaomi backpack no external straps to carry a tripod. normal backpacks also have very little padding to protect your gears against accidental bumps. (ouch!) as for rain resistant they are good for drizzle or light splashes but i would not risk it in a heavy downpour. the fabric is waterproof but the zips are not. even rain resistant pro camera bags have rain cover for extra protection. just my 2 cents. i only have 1 body and 1 lens haha, no plan for extra lens since experience from kitlens > prime > back to 24-70 still good enough for walk-walk shoot-shoot trip photo. rest of the day i rarely bring camera , use phone only. so the bag plan is like carry camera for trip, for normal days maybe carry tablet and cloths (for balik kampung in weekend 1-3 days) currently using manfrotto unica VII, that one also swings a lot lol but bag is fine. just my shoulder is not fine for ~1 hours carring onwards. that's why i got thought like want change bag for last 2-3 years. (now only want to research for bags lol) This post has been edited by Agito666: Nov 28 2018, 10:33 AM |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Nov 30 2018, 02:58 PM) Thanks man, much appreciated! wa checked it is kinda bulky design XD (also kinda obvious camera bag) Yeah, unfortunately its not possible to take miniature shots without some PS skills. I guess the toughtest part is how to blend 2 photos into one, and to do that usually have to play around with color tones and all . DS_Legacy and I are using Lowepro Fastpack 250/350. Not sure whether they are still selling these The 350 is certainly way too bulky for typical Asians with small body sizes like us. However the 250 would be just nice if you have a slim laptop and a DSLR without battery grip. One thing is for sure, these kind of bags are made to last.. I have been using this one and my Retrospective 7 with only very minor wear-and-tear.. they will probably last a lifetime Just my 2 cents based on my limited experience with bags I agree that for prolong use surely have to use backpacks ya well gotta become white mouse and wait the store tell me when they restock the backpack |

QUOTE(DS_Legacy @ Nov 30 2018, 03:18 PM) They have a nice fastpack design but it's still bulky. If you are a person who likes to carry a slim laptop and a camera out for a job, this bag is a way to go. If you don't carry laptop around, get something else. yeah but i don't carry camera often, only if got trip like 1 time per 2 years ? I often langgar people with my bulky bag rest of the time plan to carry umbrella and an ipad (kambing soon, thinking to order and engraving something stupid on ipad pro and pencil lol) or put some cloth for monthly balik kampung on weekend This post has been edited by Agito666: Nov 30 2018, 03:23 PM |
