I know different people have different preferences and different needs, what is your favorite prime lens (one only) and why? Thanks.

To be fair the 50 and 85 1.8S are okay in terms of pricing now that i got lenses which cost more lol.

I'll keep an eye on the 1.2S versions but Kay's 50mm is already "dua liap" for me le haha.

Have you moved to Nikon mirrorless already?

I also think 50mm would be my preferred focal length for photos. For videos, maybe wider eg. 35mm or 24mm.

Typical mindset of a 50mm f/1.8 ~ RM400 ish 50mm f/1.8D haha! The 50 1.8S is 2k+++, but hey IMO the optics is top tier despite being f/1.8.

I've owned the 1.8D, 1.8G... 1.8D was the first bokeh lens, but didn't use much cause I bought the 70200VR2 eventually... I upgraded to the 1.8G but well on the D800 it was rather soft on the edges wide open... and then it was under utilized... and now 1.8 S, is the default lens on my Z6  laugh.gif

By the way, 50mm f/1.2S isn't that heavy when I was held it in my hand the other day. 70-200mm f/2.8S is much heavier. When you mount it on the Z9, it still feels lighter than DSLR with 70-200mm f/2.8 combo. But after a while your arms become bigger.

50mm! Because that's the best prime I have now, the 1.8S is miles better than the 35 1.4G or 85 1.4G that I own.

Still plenty heavy for someone who is looking to reduce weight on my set-up laugh.gif that 1.2S is a gigantic 50mm.

I tell you, I thought the kit 16-50 for Z 50 is going to be shit stuff but it's better than my gold ring 24-120 f/4 by miles.

For RM 2k - 4k+ there are so many nice option lens, S-Line or not.
