No status on my phone, still in progress. My friend who ordered later then me got his. Nearby address. Gemfive cs have no idea what is happening.

Ask and you will be informed name of the seller
So those who bought from Gemfive do call them yourself to enquire. You cannot compare with other buyers experience here

That is the thing. Their info has been contradictory so far.

Add: I just received another call, and I ask verbally and I got the same reply.

Got another call and I believe this is the real reason. They misplaced my unit and found it together with the KV valley batch. Courier will only pick up tomorrow and earliest delivery is Wednesday.

To those who are following, I made on order with Gemfive at the end of Sept. My friend who placed a later order already received his unit yesterday. Our delivery address is just 10 minutes apart.

After a merry go round with Gemfive CS yesterday, I was finally informed that my unit was mistakenly placed to Klang Valley batch and will only be delivered to me tomorrow. Error from the merchant/seller side.

Today, I just received another call that my unit is indeed 'lost' or rather non existence because there is no stock and the merchant/seller can only get me a stock in two weeks time.

I have instructed the CS to get Gemfive to source for the unit elsewhere and get it delivered. I am giving them until Thursday. I doubt they can fulfill it as there is lack of seriousness in this matter.

2) The delivery issue. Never ever trust delivery service, even though you are getting from official reseller, IF you want to ensure you can get it on the first day launching. Pick self collection only or queue up at launching event only can 100% be the first to own it.

To me, always get it from official reseller for peace of mind. At least got any problem you can argue more confident as you never go any wrong way so they can't take any excuse to refuse to provide after sales service.

I believe official reseller will prevent customer escalate their sales/service issues to Apple as they may risk of losing the license from Apple. So they will always comply to Apple's rules to provide service to customers.

P/s: I didn't say G5 bad or wrong, they are just a platform to sell things, just my opinion on why should get it from official way, especially for people cannot wait, like me smile.gif

I am looking at a bigger picture. Didn't even consider to complain to Apple Malaysia. As an online shopping platform, they will know what challenges to expect.

if you wish to cancel, get them to initiate..or get advice from your credit card bank, file a dispute etc.
