Gemfive promise to send my unit today, but as of this morning I check order still In Progres.

Here's the respond from Gemfive:
There has been some delays in shipping your order, due to shortage quantity given by apple itself to the seller.

The merchant responsible for your order is working hard to get the order processed as fast as they can. The new batch of stock will be delivered to seller by next week, therefore the seller only can do the shipment to you by 28/10/2016 ya

We humbly request that you bear with us, we will follow through until the order is shipped.

We would like to apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.
Sincerely,

Hafiz
Customer Service Associate, GEMFIVE

ARGHHHHH 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

i thought g5 stated that eta end of oct? so for those getting earlier is a bonus.. how come read some complaining? it's delivery issue gone wrong or they didn't capture your order?  hmm.gif

QUOTE(attw @ Oct 19 2016, 11:38 AM)
Just that everyone already got via walk-in, telco or Apple online so those who pre-ordered are harping on Gemfive's ad that they will be "first to own Malaysian sets of iPhones"... Gemfive and their sellers also partially to be blamed for the advertising, but yes, agree with you, they did specify that buyers will get by end of October. Oh well...
*
for mine, they admitted that my unit was lost and then involved in a mix up, so it is the weakness of their supply chain management

It has a secruity tape all around the shipping box.
*

oh okay, thanks. after opening that box, is there any security tape? specifically on units handled by Gemfive. from earlier photos, looks like the box comes delivered in a transparent shipping plastic.

looks like this inside - https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=82166357
from Gemfive I have no idea but like you said I also saw like in bubble wrap only, no outer box

the iphone box itself is wrapped in a cello film, go watch some unboxing videos then you can see how they look like
*
Thanks, yeah saw some unboxing videos..seems to have no sticker. however, there is a transparent plastic (shrink wrap) with a tab. meaning, it is possible to unseal it and with extra care, the plastic can be used again hmm.gif

Yup you can. There is no sticker type of sealed where you need to cut or tear off.

I see, thanks for the info.

you received your iphone already?

it's ok to charge your phone daily to 100% but don't always let your phone battery fully drained
*
not yet, just read about other people saying to only charge when the battery reaches 20-30% like that..my old phone never go below 50% biggrin.gif

Finally received my phone after some issues mentioned previously. Week 41.

Trying out the speaker. When I play youtube and with 50% volume, can feel that the phone is vibrating (by placing your finger on the screen). Can you guys try it?

New to ios here. Some questions:

1. How to disable screen auto rotate?
2. How to disable or group the row of options (slow-mo, video, square, photo, pano, etc) at the bottom of the camera to another place? I kept accidentally selecting them.
3. I have downloaded a sing by syncing with itunes. Cannot set it as ringtone?
4. At the home screen (the one showing the day and date), I have removed all widgets. However, there is a round edit button. How to remove it so that the
screen becomes clean?
5. After I press the home button to switch off the screen, why is it when I move the phone physically, the screen lights up?
6. The flash mode can only be turned on/off when using the rear camera. When it is switch on, the flash mode can also be used for the front camera (selfie). After pressing the button to snap, the screen momentarily becomes yellow. Is this normal?

Thanks sweat.gif

Have explore there yet. However there are a few things I dislike on the new iOS. 7+ is real big for me and I feel my hands tired after using for few minutes. Feel like throwing it away lol
*
The size is just nice for me, coming from samsung note. But getting abit frustrated with ios. Also, when I play I feel that the vibrating is quite strong even though I set the home button to 1. And since the whole phone vibrates when I play youtube, I wonder whether my vibration thing is faulty. Guess I need to head to mac city to have a look.

1. Slide up to access control centre
3. Open itunes, sync the iphone, drag the tone to ringtone tab. (Disclaimer: not yet try with the new itunes and ios 10 though. The feature might be removed ady)
5. Disable "raise to wake"

#2 and #4 need to wait others' input. Been so long since last time use ios 😅
*
Thanks man.
1. First time knowing this. So android pull down, ios pull up.
3. Okay, will plug in to laptop again later to try.
5. Got it, done.

Normally I just off the vibration and only enable for important notification like incoming calls and SMS. You may disable the system haptic
QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Oct 21 2016, 11:03 PM)
2. it's default. you can't change it. unless you are not using other apps and not the default camera.
4. the button will be there and can't remove. i feels annoyed too
5. others have provide the answer. the reason why the screen light up is because it wake up. it's a new feature. so that when you raise your phone, you can just use your fingerprint to unlock without pressing the home button.
6. don't really get what you mean. hehe. any pictures?

the home button not related to vibrate. it's the new feature. system haptics. i feel annoyed sometimes as the vibration is stronger if system haptics is on
Thanks. I have disabled the haptics.

Just the screen becomes yellow (maybe cause of the flash). Kinda annoying because if the rear camera is under auto flash mode, you are unable to turn it off when you are already at selfie mode. Have to go back to rear cam to turn it off first.
