Do u guys know about TLR? TLR can be said as a quite old model camera but it is still in produce today. Presently, the Chinese Seagull and the German Rollei are in production. Mine is the Chinese Seagull as u can see there is some Chinese Character on it.....

I've used an old Yashicamat TLR before. This was a long time ago. I still have it but havne't touched it in awhile. Try and shoot 120/220 slides, looking at medium format slides on a lightbox is way cool.

I'm guessing that enthusiasts find getting into medium-format film photograhy easiest by starting with a cheap TLR cam?
Just curious, how much do they charge for developing medium-format films and is it easy to find a photo lab that does an acceptable job at that? Added on February 20, 2007, 4:13 pm QUOTE(tishaban @ Feb 20 2007, 03:45 PM) It's I think a Kodak model. I remember reading about it. It's not exactly the same concept as a TLR though... Nah... totally different. Kodak's concept is a pseudo-interchangeable lens system. If you need the wide-angle shot, you switch operation from the regular zoom lens+CCD pair to the wide-angle+CCD pair. The top lens in a TLR is for viewfinding and you'll get parallax errors at close ranges. I have the film but i dunno how to insert it. The film is quite expensive for me ( RM10 ) and it is just 12 films. If i simply shoot anything, i will be wasting my money by processing those films.
Can u guys show me some way to test the camera? THX:) |
