Dropped by Maxis center just now after dinner wanted to find out more, here's what I understand from the staff's explanation...

Advance payment has to be paid via Credit card (0% EPP available), so subscriber pay the bank via 12/24 months installment.
The Advance Payment amount will then be deducted from your monthly bill. (the same 24 months contract applies for Zerolution plan)

The way i look at it, customer now owe the bank and not maxis. Maxis 'protected' from customer 'running away' with their iphones since they already got their money from the bank.
*
For example i take the zerolution under macis 128 plan for IPX.

Monthly payment stated is 153/month. So i will need to pay 153/month to the bank and 128 to maxis?

In this case you would have already paid 4500 to maxis in advanced payment, which means if you used your credit card for 0% EPP, then you would be paying the bank. Maxis will offset your bill amount from the advanced payment you've paid.
*
Hmmm i dont mind paying 153+128+gst.

What i dont want to pay is the advance of 4500. I dont see this as zerolution anymore.

Yes, you can EPP for 24 months at Maxis Centres depending on what credit card you have (I know MBB is possible).
*
than might as well I just pay for outright plan and apply EPP for 24 months using MBB card.

I think I wana dropped by maxis and ask

Just went in to a maxis centre and asked bout the zerolution.

Its only offered to current maxis user. And for example, you take ip8 64gb, 128 plan. Pay 2500 + gst upfront. And you dont have to pay your phone bill of 95(phone per month) + 128 (plan price) + gst for a year. On the next year only you start to pay.

The 2500 upfront payment charged to your credit card, you need to settle with the bank if you want full pay or EPP.

Hope this helps.

You should ask them how is this called Zerolution when you’re required to pay an upfront. It should be called EZlution.
*
Haha the maxis girl told me get everyone to complaint to maxis. Maybe then they’ll change the plan

they are mentioning that iphonex is not eligible for waiver be it 1 year or 10 years postpaid cust
*
Waiver for zerolution advance you mean?

They are not giving any waivers, the sales person also dont know why. But whatever you pay for advance payment is gona be creditted into your maxis account

Hi just wanna share my story with Iphone 12 maxis. Been using maxis for the past 4-5 year without ever paying late my bills never being barred.  On pre-order day my number was 1086, got into the waiting list n able to select 12 Pro Max Graphite 128gb. And then comes to the part for TAC “your account is not supported”. What the heck.

Then I saw people in this thread fillup ROI and get phone call n got their unit reserved. I tried the same around 12am. Next morning got call from Maxis CS confirming the unit then told me Im not eligible for Zerolution. Quite frustrated wht seems to be the issue.

Then i went to dealers at Tesco Semenyih, check all my acc history payment said i can booked with them but need RM200 cash. Unfortunately i dont have cash tht time n lazy to withdraw i just walk away. Since they say stock might be coming later then 15th for 1st batch, and my name will be on 2nd batch that could be on 27th.

Next i tried my luck at IOI they check the same but this time they check IC n thumb print. Now say i cannot take Zerolution due to im being Tier 4. What ever that mean also I don’t understand. I can only take normal contract but need to pay for device like RM3,895 for Pro Max. But dont need upfront because im “VIP” customer she said.

Then on 25/11/20 just checking Maxis website. Saw got stock tried to order this time then the TAC came in!! i take delivery because i think if i take pickup might need more cash or trouble later when collecting. Check yhe tracking its “confirmed” next morning “being packed” n “in transit”. Still in denial hahah and anxiously waiting. Today 27/11/20 11.05 am got call from Gdex “ abang ada dkt rumah ke saya nak hantar phone dr maxis”. 11.20 i safely collected my Iphone 12 Pro Max 128gb Graphite.

Almost port into Celcom already being so frustrated with Maxis. So now another 2 years with maxis HAHAH. Damn
*
Trying the same as you. I was actually looking to get the iphone 11 pro from maxis centre, went to a bunch of centres and was not able to get the IP11pro with zerolution. Same they said had to pay upfront for zerolution, i said iv been with maxis for so long even my current zerolution did not require upfront payment.

So last friday, just tried to order via website and it gave option to renew my zerolution plan with IP12. So I checked out with IP12 128gb with zerolution plan and asked for delivery to home, confirmed the order and got the order invoice in my mail. Now hoping it will all go through haha

If not its okay, not in rush to change any phone. Wanted the IP11 Pro since it will cost the same as what im paying now for my IPXr.

don bother with call, they say they cant confirm with the retail stock...and would suggest to go to next closes shop to walk in and ask.... Maxis after sales service had been going down hill already every since they remove the centre land line....even their chat is not even helpful at all.... best is to drop your name in the list and pray for the best that you get it in december.....i give maxis until mid dec....if nothing comes, i will probably wait for iphone 13 and sell off my screen protector, case and wrap .
*
Yup. even the real view for stock was not accurate. Went to bunch of Centers according to the real view, but still no stock when asked the Centre.

Yeah same as me when i made the order online doesnt have high expectations since they told i was not eligible for Zerolution. From my experience if ur tracking moved from “Confirmed” to “being packed” and “transit” then it might reach u.

Now just anxiously and patiently waiting for ur new phone haha
*
Crossing my fingers it will move to being packed and transit soon.

did you have any existing contract still yet to complete when you order your phone ? As understand from their chat, if you have any contract still running you are not legible for zerolution so you need to be present at the center then only can apply new line
*
Yes, currently last month of my zerolution.

But before this i did try to order the IP12 during the ROI, but i cant select my line since still under contract.

Suddenly tried last Friday and im able to pick my current line and it says renew zerolution.

So that's why i tried all the way and got the order invoice. Let's see if im lucky to get it through or not haha

Please pray for me biggrin.gif

I guess you're good to go. Their website system and center system are 2 different thing, if you able to order from website, guess it is safe to say you will get your device. And probably will get your device earlier before the updates turn into delivered.
*
Hopefully so.

But the website seem kinda buggy i think. Now there is no option to select IP12 mini from the website.

So dont know if the website is actually working 100% or not.
