My friend who bought from maxis told me that the delivery is done by maxis people and they need to verify u before handing u the phone. U can choose which day u want the phone be delivered to u as well.

Ohhh, okay. Maybe maxis users who got their new phone through delivery can share some experience like how's the parcel packaging good or bad, punctuality etc.

U visited official maxis centre or maxis partner stores? I know certain maxis partner stores doesn't let u purchase the phone unless u get a new line. Official maxis centre shouldn't have this problem.

Yup, that's why i hate visiting those partner/dealer stores. I usually visit sunway pyramid the top floor one.

U can do it through maxis online store, certain pro and pro max models are available for order. 13 pro 256gb graphite which is the one i ordered, is only available for delivery, no walk-in unit available.
I didn't feel the need to go for phone hunting so i waited until delivery was available for the model i want.

Yup but even without chip shortages, new tech is always just around the corner. Reason for me on getting the ip 13 pro is because my S8+ is laggy already (longest android phone i ever own, coming 5 years) and i got tired of using android since S2.

Yea, it is definitely tiring to have to deal with all the problem just to get a new phone from a telco, especially as an existing customer, feels like being shit on ranting.gif
