Maxis called me about my pre order, was suggesting to meet me at 8.30am but I’ll be rushing so I told them to come at night hehe

i preordered the new XS max, it says this :-

"...who purchase their devices between 26 June - 26 September 2018 and subscribe to Maxis SafeDevice within 10 days are eligible for the promo."

hmmmm i guess ill call 123 tomorrow

i checked with the person behind the counter at maxis centre, he told me that it only applies to zerolution..

So I called 123 and enquired about safe device.

The conclusion is, maxis or bright star didn’t have safe device for XS MAX 256 and 512gb until the 2nd of November, and u have to sign up for the safe device within 10 days of receiving your device.

Since maxis or brightstar only came up with the safe device for XS MAX 256 and 512 on 2/11/18, assuming we get our phones on launch day: that would leave us with only a few days margin - about 4 days (taking into account the 10 days from launch day on 26/10/18, which is 6/11/18)

So I missed the boat, it is the 9th today.

He mentioned he will forward this to the relevant department and highlight the gross unfairness in this matter and will get back to me.

Fingers crossed.
