Ha ha - I'm one of the few that likes the notch. That said I'm still not completely sold on the X yet due to the smaller screen and shorter battery life compared to the current plus model iPhones.

Comparing my previous 7+ and now ipx, I say the battery performance is comparable. Around 7-8 hours usage with 20% left.

Yeah, GSMArena's battery test results confirms that.

actually nope.... I used to think that i'll have trouble with it on videos (coming from 7 plus) but nope when I watch videos on the x, the notch was never the issue, more of the screen smaller than plus models (yes again back to screen size rant) tongue.gif

Porting in normally won't take long as long as you settle all your outstanding and follow proper procedure..

Also depends, your existing Telco may find some excuses to delay your porting out request.

Stock hmm.. I have no idea. But as for port in line, please see below my case:
Porting out from Celcom (recently bought new number) to Maxis, provided I have use Celcom prepaid for 30 days and no oustanding (as it is prepaid). It takes less than 1 business day (walk in to Maxis to do the port in). As I am porting out to Hotlink (prepaid), I would need to upgrade to Maxis again, it takes less than half day to do so. Summary:

1st day 12pm (Maxis) - to port out my celcom to Hotlink
2nd day 12pm (Maxis) - they told me iPhone 8 plus have stock, hence i need to upgrade my Hotlink to Maxis.
Same day 5pm (Maxis) - Converted to Hotlink and got my phone.

I think prepaid may be easier to port, but what happens to the balance you have in your account? Does that get transferred as well? I imagine it doesn't? Sorry, sounds like a newbie question, but I've never ported a prepaid number before, only postpaid laugh.gif

Nope, the balance will be burst. Hence, the Maxis officer got advise me to use up my balance. As it cannot carry forward to Postpaid. I think the time is same for postpaid/prepaid port out.

I think nowadays porting in and out is not something new like 6-7 years ago when It was still messy or certain telcos purposely hold you back or delay etc....Is it something common today and most of the time it's as easy as registering a new account, although the clearing outstanding part can be improved..

Yea, but still there is some rules issued by telcos itself. Just like Celcom will retain you for 1 month. For example if you ported in to Celcom, you have to wait for 1 month only you can switch to other Telco. Digi does not retain us for 1 month though. As I purchase a Digi number, and 1 week later i did port out to Celcom. Then waited for 1 month and again to Maxis to get my iPhone 8 Plus with plan.
