Guys, do we need to change the ASW2020 and AS1M book?

Some banks said no need, still can use, but some banks say better change.
*

My contact said that they've completed another round of testing. It was mentioned that the project is pending approval from the top-top management of PNB (Chairman & President) before it would be made available to the staff for a soft-launch and subsequent public launch.

I guess they're just waiting for the right time to launch it to the masses.
The push-back is still coming from the regulator ie: SC. They're probably more likely be granted an increase of fund size of an existing fund as compared to being allowed to launch an entirely new fund as the former would be smaller in terms of size as compared to the launch of a new fund which can be in billions.
*
Good news.. Oh staff use first.. Good rclxms.gif let them test first.. Always new system got some initial problem.. Let them rectify it first before open to public...

As for no new fund.
Its better that way.. Increase in existing fund is much better..
We all got the passbook Already.. Just top up only..
As my previous experience, it won't take long time.. But needs to camp there early morning like 4am blush.gif

If I must speculate, I understand SC's reluctance. After all they also regulate the other capital market products like VP unit trusts. So the more FP funds, the less vibrant or growth they can expect on the VP side. And it doesn't help with investors sophistication as well
*
Yup, that too..
Another one is, those FP ASx already have huge exposure to bursa Malaysia.. Its kinda risky if there were to be mass withdrawals.. Market will crash.. Something like that lior..

It's always politically motivated la. SC is supposed to be the gate keeper and hence they are now the 'barrier' between launching new funds and increasing approved fund size

Since PNB Chairman openly say they aim to increase AUM significantly over the next few years, so I think your speculation does look probable
*
well they can also increased the existing fund size..

open for new subscriptions cool2.gif

they never learned do they bangwall.gif

the 7% is adjusted ex-dividend, and price will be lower after that smile.gif

unlike FP ASx thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif

and ASNB VP fund SC is quite high side bruce.gif

they bring Tupperware for tapao too bangwall.gif ranting.gif

I feel the calendar is not so important.. it's the performance of the fund counted.. how much dividend, losses on invested companies, managers / others fees, tax is more pressing issues needs to be consider.. correct not innocent.gif rolleyes.gif sweat.gif whistling.gif yawn.gif
