I have 10 fans in my CPU...got pro and con as well..

positive side = look cool, emit heat more faster, better life span for CPU
negative side = wash so many fan, abit of noise

I basically have a delta high speed fan running as my exhaust, and a CM led fan as my intake... At the moment i am trying to silent my delta.. but i dont think its gonne work.. its too powerful cool2.gif

Also i have done a little mod to my intel stock cooler.. I have put a little fan on top of the stock fan with a windflow tunnel to concentrate cool air intake to the chip brows.gif

My new server rig (temporarily using it as my main rig):

10x fans (including PSU):

1x CPU fan (Zalman CNPS9700)
1x 120mm intake fan - blows air into casing "through" 3x HDs (so acts as a HD cooler too)
1x 120mm exhaust fan directly behind CPU HSF
- all 3 fans are in a direct line.
2x 40mm fans in a HD cooler
3x 80mm side intake fan - blowing air onto HDs
1x PCI card slot exhaust fan - sucks air off the graphics card (fanless), and out the back
1x PSU fan

It's not noisy as the two 120mm fans are controlled manually (usually set to lowest), and the CPU HSF is automatically controlled.
The other fans are quite quiet except for the PCI slot exhaust fan which is a little bit noisier that the silent fans. But it's needed as it is at the top of the casing (mobo installed BTX style in Aerocool Baydream case), and I have a fanless 8600GT.

All Fans are Cooler Master except the PSU one.

2x front intake 80mm fan
2x side intake 80mm fan (blowing directly to the graphics card)
1x top exhaust 80mm fan
1x PSU exhaust 80mm fan
1x back exhaust 80mm fan
1x CPU Cooler Master Jet HSF

Reason for the fans: Overclocked CPU and graphics card

i think my computer don't have fan. except for the stock fan on my p4 processor and the fan on my 7600gs . so how many fan should i add so i can close my sidecase.

currently, i took of the sidecover, and place a table fan to blow it. if it is off, my pc will very noisy, if close the cover, more noise.

i think now only can put 1 fan which is for the back, to suck heat out and for the front, there's no air hole.

any idea on helping me?

added (following)

1 x Sanyo Denko 120 x 120 x 38 at the frontal, replacing crappy CoolerMaster 120mm case fan

1 x Delta 70 x 70 x 25 to HR-05 SLI, switched from fanless configuration

1 x Delta 80 x 80 x 25 direct blow to PWM IC area, instead of relying air flow coming from frontal panel fan...

... and i got this... thumbup.gif

oklay, not too noise, but can hear those fans tongue.gif
