QUOTE(Otic @ Aug 10 2018, 02:12 PM)
Had my updates again. I think it's Version 2 update.

What I feel in different is
1. When 1st start engine (in the morning), the engine RPM will go slightly higher than previous. (SC told me this is one of the update to keep the car easier on cold startup) - 1 of the issue I faced also, sometimes need to crank twice to start. Now no more.
2. Radiator fan will not run as frequent as last time when engine is shut off (this is I personally feel on my car, not sure about other)
3. Driving experience
When drive on "D" mode, the car feel more steady and quite. Comfort.... not as aggressive as previous
When drive on "S" mode, the car can sense very aggressive and response is...awesome.
4. Fuel consumption - this is very subjective but I feel my car getting save in petrol on my daily drive.
5. Jerk when accelerate, this one is like a "cancer" in my suprima,  still can feel slightly...very minor...not as worst as last time anymore. Acceptable.

Agree with you except S mode...

Will try S mode soon...

Petronas is proton recommended brand.
Ref Line is after market brand.
Better? I supposed. Was strongly recommended by my foreman friend.
The choice is yours.

Don't add anything inside your CVT. Even if there's no warranty don't simply add. Just replace regularly and/or go for higher end synthetic CVT fluid suitable for Proton's Punch CVT.

EZL799 compatible should be ok. Thought it was an additive since there was nonslip written. My bad.

Anyway, I'm on ROCK oil sold by EA Autoworks. Personally don't feel any difference from proton original cvt fluid but based on the boss's experience it helps his damaged cvt a lot.

I have the same issue. Just use something like forcep or chop sticks to remove it. The black sponges is very fragile.

Last week at my regular sc, khasiat jati in keramat, two things i specifically told them to check apart of doing the 70k service...the sponge thing in aircond vent, and to update firmware.
They told me afterwards that they checked aircond thing and just clear some debris..they even say nothing needed to be replaced..... Secondly on the firmware, they confirmed that im on the old firmware version, but they dont have the equipment to do upgrade..
Somehow, i suspected they are just lazy and just want to do the normal servicing stuff...if anyone think khasiat jati is a good sc, please let me know coz im started considering finding another sc

The foam.. need to be replaced. need 1 full day as the whole dashboard need to be taken off to access the inside to replac3 new foam.. total plus labor around rm400-500 COSE.

for ecu firmware update.. small sc cant do it.. must be bigger sc.

Thank for the heads up...
the foam not covered by warranty?
on the ecu update, im in another sc at setapak now, updating my ecu

on another matter, my usual sc also says that they cant reset the mileage service reminder accordingly.. ie after service, next one is after 10k km, but they cant set it to 10k...in my case, they can only manage to set it to 6917km..

I guess its not covered under warranty.. as that form will deteriorated over time. so considered aswear and tear parts..

but you can contact the sc to check if it is under warranty or not.. might be covered within 3 years?

I am in COSE now, The ECU update.. the latest one is released on May/June.. so far that is the latest released this year up to date.
