I bought 2nd and no more warranty.
I mean the black hose from intake box to turbo unit crack. Maybe due to too much heat.

Try full throttle..
Its fly by wire and 90% is not always 90%..
Also.. programming try to keep the engine at 3k -4k.. for optimum power band..

Floor it and u will see 5k...

Today had a drive with full 100% throttle flattened.
Still engine rpm struggles to push up to 5k....

The engine wasn't react this way when it was fairly new last time...just recently started feels weird engine power dropped the moment turbo kicks in after passing 2.5k rpm.

Gearbox gear downshift also feel very linear compared to last time (slightly more aggressive).

Fly by wires throttle does have memory throttling input driving style?

Try doing a throttle body cleaning. I experience a similar symptoms and complain it to Proton CoE. They done a throttle body cleaning and it did improve a bit. I think you can do it outside without voiding your warranty. I did at proton cause they can do it for free. laugh.gif

or do what TDUEnthusiast told me before

Have you ever done any form of throttle/turbo cleaning with e.g. Threebond? Do you have an Oil Catch Tank (non re-circulating set-up) installed? If it's no to both, then get both of them done. First one will get rid of the gunk in the turbo unit, intercooler and throttle body if you spray Threebond through the Turbo. Second option will (or should) stop oil from collecting in the turbo and subsequently the intercooler and throttle body. Especially good if you like to go heavy on the throttle.

I don't remember hearing loud turbo spooling noise when accelerating over 5k rpm. Might want to bring your car to be inspected.

Edit: Also the rpm should go over 5k easily if you push hard.

Saw a silver suprima s today on the federal to pj/kl with a non functioning right drl unsure.gif I wonder if it's disconnected or defective hmm.gif

Has anyone observed their DRLs in operation? I just noticed that my left lamp's DRL colour is slightly more towards blue/green whilst the right side is white. doh.gif Already did the conversion to Osram Xenarc HIDs so I'm gonna have to swap out the bulbs and the dust cover in case I decide to pursue this.

Asked an expert about this and apparently it's quite a normal occurrence. sweat.gif Their brightness still seem to be the same though. I really can't believe I didn't notice the difference until now as I always leave my car idling when I reach my office. Maybe it deteriorated over time..

Edit: Took a look from far and up close again, and the brightness is certainly the same, just that the left lamp has a cool temperature look whilst the right is warm. I guess I'll just leave it since it isn't exactly an eyesore.

Mind share what temperature of hid bulb did you go with? Does 4300k match well with the drl? Would also like to know will installing OCT void the warranty?

I went with 4200k. It still has some yellow in it and will not always be as white as the DRLs. Not always because mine can also appear to be completely white depending on the time and weather.

I believe that the ideal temperature should be around 4500k to 5000k if you want it to match the DRLs.

Edit: not sure about the Oct because I haven't done my second service, but I don't expect it to be a problem.

Hi guys,

I have been browsing thru this forum for a couple of months. I like to seek your opinion based on the pricing of the suprima full spec. Should I purchase a brand new suprima or go for a toyota or honda. Based on my driving style, I see that the suprima fits my boat.

I presume that the maintence aspect is lower compared to the mentioned brands above. The issues being discussed in this forum also indicates that the main components dont really have much an issue. Its more of the small parts that irrates.

Thank you for the information.

Budget will be below 90K. However i do realize i wont be able to get full specs with other brands.
Can i check with you what is the max loan tenure?

I will prefer Comfort and Handling as my daily drive will increase to about 120 Km.
I believe speed can be achieved only on clear roads, other then that speeds are usually 100-110 km/h.

There servicing price seem affordable. Drawback is the FC, anyone achieve better or is it an average.

Comfort n handling rarely comes hand in hand..
But.. its quite comfy... Definitely not vios level comfort... The suspension is alot harder... Handling is typical proton.. haha..

Check out my siggy.. but... Saying that.. my route is different.. mostly quiet B roads.. so speeds between 80-90.. and not much traffic...

I do around 70-100kms per day... I usually fill up every week..

However the main question is, is it worth it to purchase it now, since it has been out for sometime. Im not so fussy about the comfort as I drive a Viva daily, so this will be an upgrade. However surprisingly a viva handles well for me. So I wonder how the suprima will fare. Heard from a colleague that the space in the car is not that big is this true?

believe me.. a viva is very comfortable on malaysian roads...

the suprima is less so...

if your colleague says the space is small.. then he must be very BIG...

i'm 179cm, 1XXkg.. and the car is spacious.. just that the seat is abit high...

as for is it worth it to buy now.. i cant really answer that.. there might be a facelift coming.. or there might not be one...
in terms of reliability, most problems probably has been rectified by now..
