Huawei P9 and P9+

Since we been talking about the refund and return so much. can we share a bit of personal experience here? Set aside the exploding problem.

I am not a Sammy fan boy. I always try different phone. From day 1, motorola, siemen, alcatel, sony ericsson, LG, samsung, Nokia, XiaoMi, Lenovo, HuaWei, Asus, HTC. I likes to play with different interface/UI to enjoy different user experience.

This is so far the Best Phone i have owned. Nice handling, not too heavy, nice camera, loud speaker. Of course there will always be room for improvement.

1. I have some issue with the speaker being place at the bottom. i like using my pinkie finger to support the phone and the pinkie sits right on top of the speaker
2. Edge glass. so hard to draw on the edge of glass.
3. Can be faster (greedy)

BTW, i turn off iris scanner since yesterday which i feel the phone always somehow feel a tiny bit warmer then a machine cold feel since i turn on iris scanner. maybe just paranoid?

will give other phones a chance. other phones also deserve the chance to slip into your pocket once

Thats it...Sammy has pushed me to iOS. ip7 / ip7+ here i come. But i heard there is a global shortage on phone supply for ip7 / ip7+

U can print out your online statement. They usually accept. they just need the letterhead, u can hide the $$ underneath

I agreed on do not take it on the counter staff. Won't say the same to tele-customer service tho. A lot of the times i was not angry, but i noticed, in several occasions, when you raised your voice over the phone, you will get the result you want. Instantly. Thus nowaday I act nasty on the phone. sometimes.

totally depends on luck, I guess. I had a note 2 which last me for good 2 years and the note 2 i have hand down to my office boy and he is still using it. my friend who owned a note 3 and was complaining since day 1.
when i got my 1st N7, i used smart switch / auto apps transfer to move from Z3 to N7, some of the apps are incompatible and my N7 keeps restarting every few secs. I cant turn it off, cant reach fast enough for factory restart, the button cache clearing also no use, thus i contacted samsung live chat and send my phone to the nearest SC immediately. (now think of it the phone was pretty warm luckily it didnt explode). Samsung eventually contacted me to pick up my new replaced N7 1 week later. Then i got called to surrender my new replaced N7 due to 1st global recall. and I opt for J7 loan unit, and get my replacement N7 1+ week later. now i am on my 3rd N7, which i suppose to surrender pretty soon. i switched to 5 diff phones within 1 month.

Sony or iphone. but i really miss the spen (last note was note 2) thus i chose note7, been waiting since april. but now i have touches n7, others are not good enough to me.

there should be no pen and paper anymore, if follow your imaginary development on gadgets

Sigh...i am genuinely thinking of keeping my note 7. Although i have no plan on travelling by plane in the near future but its kinda impoosible for me not to travel within 2 years. I am still hesitating. Maxis is giving me till 6/11 to decide before they charge me the next Rm101. I am and will be working on some sports events (golf tournament and gp) which means outdoor hot sun and long hour. The past 3 days been really good. I dont find my phone hotter than usual. I even turn on my torchlight for 1hr+. The battery still last me from 4am till 8.30pm and still have 30% left. How can i give up on such a good phone easily? Been asking for some opinion frrom my close friends and families. Noone seems to object if i continue to keep my phone., LOL

I hesitate because i do encounter some ppl who feel anxiety around my phone. She keeps saying that me continue using the phone around her makes her feel nervous...sigh...theres no other phone now is qualify enough for me to surrender easily.

Maxis called last Thursday. Gave me till 6 November to decide.
1. exchange with S7edge with 2months refund 2xRM101 and continue with my plan
2. waive my current plan and take iphone 7+
3. waive my current plan and take iphone 6s+
4. take P9+ @ RM88 per month with 2 months refund 2 x RM101
5. refund 2xRM101 and my plan expired and i can do anything i want with my account.

I asked, what if i choose to keep my Note 7. She said no refund, no compensation, continue my RM101 for the next 22 months. Any wintermelon tofu in future, i shall refer to Samsung not Maxis.

I will decide on the 5 November, but 80% opt for keeping the phone.

but i need to get a cheap phone as backup in case i need to travel on plane.

I somehow read an article said they wont brick the phone. no updates for sure. I really can't find another phone i like. I went and take a look at i7+. and other flat screen phone, i genuinely uninterested to use it on daily basis.

I asked my families and friends, not many ppl object my thoughts.
