So far no details on what is really wrong with the phone. I read a news item on Samsung's engineers being unable to simulate the issues. Is it really a design flaw, or is Samsung just taking drastic action to prevent lawsuits?
And no more news of exploding phones now.
after the 1st round of recall it does reduced the high chance of a note7 becoming a smoke bomb. improvement have been made but it still happen.
reason why there are not much news about new exploding case is because samsung have issue a strong statement stating POWER DOWN the device.
i guess lots of people are doing that or else u will see a couple more note7 exploding case on news
youtube have a lot of video explaining what happen.
as you can see...different video have different explanation on it. means there are multiple points of problem could affect the battery to become a smoke bomb

I think probably only AA ban. You read MAS. Cannot turn on. So can carry. Also i ride on Cathay Pacific 2 days ago. Also cannot turn on only. I charge my Samsung Galaxy phone using their Seat USB charger. No one say anything.
i assume your Samsung galaxy phone is the Note7 you bring onboard of the plane and yet you still charge it inflight?
speaking of others who "illogical' seems like you are the one as dumb as a my house pet.
