apart from all the software issue(a lot I'm not satisfy but got used to it in the end, no choice)

No vibration after using for 3 months( lazy to claim warranty as no spare phone)

Now Sim 2 slot acting up, sometime can't detect my simcard(confirm not simcard problem)

was iPhone user and honestly iPhone a lot better quality(software and hardware), can't comment on other brand though.

have to put up with all the issue for the cheap price tag

Whats the different between clicking update button & download update button?

Try below:
- just flash china dev rom. (not sure if global dev got same settings)
- login same Mi ID
- turn on developer options by tapping multiple times on miui version
- additional settings - developer options - scroll until you see mi unlock status, tap it and add to authorize unlock status (or whatever the button)..then you'll see success or done status.
- Now boot into fastboot, and your phone should be unlocked successfully now.

Got 2 units. Buying 3rd unit. 469 for the 16gb version is value for money. Everything works. Compare with my galaxy note 5 it is missing that fine touch. Compare with  galaxy note 3, I think it is better built. Battery life beats my Samsung and iPhone 4
