I'm thinking of switching to Xiaomi.eu rom as well.. are you using their weekly or stable releases?

I flashed the zip file from 8.0.5 to 8.1.0 official rom

My device is unlocked and rooted.

Now it doesn't load and even cannot enter recovery (cofface)

All it does is appear the mi wording for one second then turned off again.

I can only enter fast boot mode.

What can I do for now? Flash tgz to back to square?

I suppose flash rom using twrp (cofface) should not e a problem as I already did a factory reset. I just flash the latest zip and add super su to the que. Lastly, I swipe to disable stock recovery replacement.

I encountered the same behaviour from 8.0.6.0 (officially unlocked, rooted) to 8.1.1.0.

Most probably, all you need to do is unlock the bootloader again.

Check from fastboot mode:

CODE
fastboot oem device-info

whether it shows “Device Unlocked: True” or “Device Unlocked: False“.

successfully rooted my RN3 running rom 8.1.1.0 (Marshmallow).

** make sure to unlock the bootloader again as the bootloader will be locked again after the ROM upgrade. **

Assuming your previous step was:

QUOTE
Factory reset, flash recovery rom using twrp (cofface), disable stock replacement.

And after that process, when your phone reboots (or you press the power button to turn it on), all it does it show white Mi wording for one or two seconds, then shuts down.

At that point, all you should have to do is:

1. Enter Fastboot mode
2. Unlock bootloader again via Mi Flash
