i'm running stable rom. Yesterday got MM from OTA.

Are you using U Mobile or Digi? If yes, then it's a sign of them testing out VoWifi. Nothing to worry about battery consumption.

2 weeks ago just bought RN3 same version like U, received OTA updates to 8.0.5.0 with 748MB size.. now received OTA to 8.1.1.0 with even bigger file 1.4GB size.. very curious, how come yours one skip 8.0.5.0 & straight away to 8.1.1.0 just  748MB size only..

MIUI Optimization need to be on or off actually?

Enable developer option via tapping few times on MIUI VERSION in about phone.
Then go to settings - additional settings - developer options ..scroll down until you see miui optimizations

Updated to 8.1.1 Yesterday,

- battery life slightly decrease (I need more time to monitor this)
- lowest brightness become "brighter" than previous version
- fingerprint reading speed increase
- performance improved, smoother than previous version

better than nothing.
