you can use ota update if the rom in the phone is the official rom (stable/developer) instead of vendor rom.

Seems like even with tempered glass there's still possibilities for the screen to crack. Mine is with tempered glass, at first thought the crack on the tempered glass but after peel off damn it's actually on the screen itself. 

Just a short reminder, those who have bought IMPORTED set(s), please ensure the Snapdragon variant is not for KATE/Special Edition. You can know easily by booting up the phone and check the Android version. If Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, it is confirmed KATE/Special Edition variant.

this lazada mi store sucks. bought one before xmas, and now have problem, send for warranty and they claim this is Singapore set, the service center don't want to provide warranty.
