cm14 is not for daily driver yet, still lots of stuff broken.

cm13 is quite stable for daily driver..been using it for weeks. free ram? around 1.6GB and close to 600-700MB if multitasking, but depends on your installed apps and running apps as well.. at least feel quite smooth and no launcher redraw (nova, etc).

cpu governors? same as default, unless you flashed custom kernels.

unlock officially or unofficially?

if unlock officially, just run the miunlock tool..this time no need flash dev rom to unlock...since you've already unlocked it officially.

it's not Kane.. it's KATE... supposed only for Taiwan region only. Or on MIUI website the rom is under Redmi Note 3 Special Edition Global.
