So, the IMEI belongs to either EIN or Mi Malaysia Sdn Bhd is covered under Mi Malaysia warranty... I hope imported set owners can share their SIRIM-IMEI status...
SIRIM-IMEI check With this investigation, we can have double check / independent checking mechanism to know whether the item purchased online is truly covered by Mi Malaysia or not. My Sammy Note5 is under SME too: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by azhar75: Nov 25 2016, 11:50 PM |

Alright... I've tried IMEI for my previously imported set Redmi 3. The SIRIM result is "No record found". Hence, this unit is under seller Warranty.
So, we can bookmark the SIRIM-IMEI webpage to check on the box whether the IMEI is local or imported set. Quite a handy tool I would say... This post has been edited by azhar75: Nov 26 2016, 12:00 AM |

QUOTE(kakisemut @ Nov 29 2016, 10:56 PM) Just ensure you don't get the "Kate" variant...it does support webe 850MHz band but hard to find its casing and tempered glass.I'm using RN3 with webe for the past 2 weeks. QUOTE(zher4883 @ Dec 1 2016, 04:30 PM) Do not declare as phone if you choose to use Poslaju will reject shipment contains battery even within Peninsular Malaysia. From my personal experience, GDex service quality is as good as Poslaju but they accept shipment of phone explicitly. Yup. At PosLaju, I declare as "Photo Frames - FRAGILE ITEMS. HANDLE WITH CARE". The parcel reached the owner without any damage to the box. This post has been edited by azhar75: Dec 1 2016, 05:18 PM |

QUOTE(haris @ Dec 1 2016, 05:25 PM) Guys, I just received Redmi Note 3 32GB Grey onsale by Lazada for RM699 (minus RM30 for new user) few days back. Install AIDA64 app from PlayStore...It is Thorus sealed and I think it is Kate version. Weight is 168gm. But is there "software" way to tell that it is Kate? Rather than the weight and dimension? For instance baseband version? I see people keep saying first page. But first page and the link to info about hennesy/kenzo/kate does not really tell how to check Kate base on version number etc. Thanks & Appreciate! PS: And thanks to the guy that provide Lazada link for the day few days back! Thanks! Thanks! & Thanks! |

QUOTE(jiash87 @ Dec 2 2016, 01:33 AM) Anybody has issues with their GPS? 1) Turn on GPS but set the accuracy to "Battery saving".Mine sometimes takes forever to lock on. Sometimes fast. Not in covered area. My first RN3 bought and returned to Lazada last week, then bought another one again. Seems like got the same issue. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 2) Open "Compass" app. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Just do the "infinity" motion/movement until the phone vibrates. 3) Launch Google Map apps to check the location is locked at the correct position or not. It should lock within 10 seconds. U might also get notification to enable Google Location to higher accuracy. Just accept it (hit OK or Yes). ALTERNATIVELY, At the dialpad, key in *#*#64663#*#* You'll be in the QC Test page. QUOTE(jack2 @ Dec 2 2016, 09:34 AM) Hi, 1) Go to "i.mi.com" website. My redmi note 3 has been sold to someone and I wanna flash everything so it is clean as it is. I just did EDL mode and using miflash clean_all but after launching MUIU and skip all the start up steps, I saw the message that your device is associated with an existing Mi Account (164XXXX927) and how to get this off? 2) Login using the Mi Account 164XXX927. 3) Delete the Redmi Note 3 in the "device" menu. QUOTE(buybuylaptop @ Dec 4 2016, 01:49 PM) What is normal SOT? Is it normal android system always highest usage, 20-30% battery even more than display? I don't on mobile data and the phone is sleeping properly but only 4-5hours sot.... Don't get confused with the MIUI battery report. As shown above, the current battery left is 87%. Meaning, the device has been using 13% energy so far. Now, out of 13%, the "Apps" consumes 62%; while "Hardware" consumes 38%. Meaning, the "Apps" is ACTUALLY consumes: = (62/100) x 13% = 8.06% from the 4000mAh battery. Then, out of 8.06%, the Android System is only using: = (28.1/100) x 8.06% = 2.26% from the 4000mAh battery. Thus, the Android System is way below 3% after 2 hours idle. My" normal" SoT is between 6 to 8 hours draining from 100% to 15%. How normal is "normal"...? I don't gaming, vix and navi. Just streaming and surfing via LTE or HSDPA+. No WiFi as my webe is unlimited data... LOL... |
