So cs is telling me...its either i get 20 or 50.....when i mentioned shdnt i b getting 700+*6/100 instead of just 20 since i meet the 800. Just minus my tnb 89 cb looo

Then i say y my dec cb is 40++ if i shd only b getting either 20 or 50?

She says ...its 49.99....its same as 50
I say shdnt i b getting 50 instead of 49.99? Its not the same thing..
Then she says i meet 800, but they cal according to the dining n onkine of 6% n 3% which is correct la i guess...

And....only dining and online spending can meet the 800, nothing else....so eventho i meet total spending of 800, i cant get it because only online n dining is considered if 800.

Anyway i think they r changing their tnc...
She also mentioned all tnb in future will not be counted...they are all changing it...so i think there might b a cutoff date sumwer which i hit it

Arghhh this is soo confusing n i m done....thank gawdddd maybank amex coming back to town. Hanging this until further confirmation....sien wana argue de

People still got TNB UOBPayOnline cash back. So yours is an isolated case. The thing is try avoiding last minute transaction, UOB has this problem with last minute transaction issue. Many have reported since VOX days. If you got it previously, doesn't mean it cannot happen now. smile.gif Looks like no choice but to move on.

I know this day will come though. Lucky for me I'm not using any UOBPayOnline transactions. sweat.gif I'm just worried of my OCC UniFi, it contributes almost 50% of my monthly RM 800 transactions... sweat.gif

Tnc stated on qualifying spend, didn't mentioned bill payment is excluded, therefore u still can get 6% as long as ur total qualifying spend above 800, but I think the culprit is the 2 transaction that posted on 7 Feb. u can always write in to clarify y u didn't get RM50 for ur January spending based on transaction date for all ur online spending n let them to investigate. No need to call CS, as I said, CS is not as knowledgeable as customers based on our experiences

The following transactions shall not be treated as Qualifying Spend:
a) Balance Transfer;
b) Cash Advance;
c) Flexi-Credit Plans;
d) Easi Payment Plan purchases;
e) 0% Interest-Free Installment Payment Plans;
f) Refunded, disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent retail transactions;
g) Top-up transactions;
h) Payment of annual card membership fees, interest payments, late payment fees, charges for
cash withdrawals, goods and services tax and any other form of service / miscellaneous fees
using the Card; and
i) Such other transactions as UOBM may determine from time to time.

actually need to guide them step by step when questioning the t&c.

1) are all ur Jan spending, are the total >799? let them calculate. if not, which is not part of Qualifying Spend.
2) if total spend >799, then cb tier is rm50 cap. let them confirm it.
3) then how many of the transactions are eligible for cb. let them calculate.

need to frame the question into their answers so that they know which is incorrect or questionable.

Hopefully MBB2Amex will cover all these payees. Just in time if UOB decides to cut these off.

hmm, i have never tried tnb via mytnb but seems like this payment method is forgotten. it was reported with rebate or untested? amex can cover this though, so just 2 more weeks to wait.

also unifi is payable via the online login account, which is the method i have been using, due to my strong dislike for uobpayonline.

these 2 methods are fairly convenient unless you are paying for someone else.

Ya, if Amex can cover all, I don't think I will use YOLO as I no need to keep track to ensure my minimum qualifying spending of RM800 to get 6% unless my quota for AMEX is use up..

If paid via UOBPayOnline, confirmed no for now. I paid via OCC UniFi still entitled.
