Please tag TS for TM (Unifi/streamyx) paid through UOB Payonline is NOT entitled to 6% CB. My last month and this month CB for Unifi all gone to drain.. cry.gif
*
u can tag aeonsakura too biggrin.gif

need to wake him up since he was last active Feb 7.

really need to put a notice/sign to alert users NOT to pay TM via uobpayonline and pay via Unifi OCC/MyTM portals.

p/s: akping_1, got answers from UOB CS ka?

I would appreciate your advices on what I should say and what not to say, when I call UOB CS to seek clarification on no cashback for Telekom Malaysia bills, paid via UOB Payonline website.

For sure, I will not mention UOB Payonline.

If UOB ask about the following, how should I answer?

a) payment method or website, for this transaction?

b) what am I paying for? Can I safely say it as TMNet Streamyx Bill?

Thank again.
*
go around the bush biggrin.gif

I'd just say through online portal, transaction recorded as stated, you did key in otp during payment, previous month was eligible, etc.

start by asking the MCC. if possible, ask the MCC for last month's as well. this is to set the baseline that both occurrences are having same MCC.

next move on to ask why this month so special no cb awarded to same transaction that u gotten last month.

just need to know why not eligible, because of name? MCC? or what else?

if there's exclusion list of names, ask for it.

whatever the outcome, avoid paying tm via uobpayonline. move to mytm portal.

others gotten cb this month for tnb payment via uobpayonline in Jan.

kinda weird of how they tagged TELEKOM MALAYSIA as Utilities but not TENAGA NASIONAL hmm.gif

thanks to kart for the updates.

I guess if UOB continue to do so, now is TM, if next is TNB, then i will just cut the card, now wait for Maybank 2 card Amex weekend CB TnC come out.
*
2 ways to look at this:

1) CS doesnt really know the system's behavior, simply whack "utilities" reason after seeing "telekom malaysia".

2) system has included exclusion list, first victim is TM via uobpayonline. this does not make sense when it comes to TNB via uobpayonline or TM via TMportals (myunifi occ/mytm). although different description, it is quite obvious payment is from TM as well.

let's see how this unfold sweat.gif

Hi all

can some one help me which i get cash back?

that telekom 160.90 is for unifi pay via uobpayonline

rm76.00 is for streaymx also via uobpayonline
im just get rm10.81 for cash back sad.gif

thanks
*
assuming all TM transactions not eligible, dining are eligible 3% and the rest are online 6%, i can only calculate the cb of RM9.30.

cb difference is RM1.51 (since you said gotten RM10.81).

reverse calculation from RM1.51 cb, missing transaction ~RM25.17 (if online 6%) or ~RM50.33 (if dining 3%).

Some1 PM me to promote use Shopee pay bill, should i suspect this round TM crisis is related to them? as most of us prefer to use uob pay online than use their service to let them earn commission.
*
u pay to shopee, not to the seller. transaction is recorded as shopee, not Telekom Malaysia.

this way, transaction to TM is "masked".

u actually don't lose using shopee. find sellers that can provide higher discount %.

Message from the PM:
"UOB already started to exclude TM from cash back and no suprise for tnb and other later.
Why worry tm, tnb bill cannot get cash back via payonline?
Pay all type of bill via shopee to get cash back."

when this thing happen, they r the 1 earn the most benefit, that y i suspect they r the 1 who complaint to UOB that give CB for TNB n TM when inside TnC state no CB for this categories
*
aiya dont care too much la.

most important: you settle your bills at discounted price, you got cashback from yolo, that's it. i began using shopee this month cuz can get discount >1%. i will just ignore those offering 1% and use other cards to pay direct to merchant.

if worry too much from the whole chain of transactions, just shift to other cards lo.

i paid 2 unifi bill tru UOBpayonline this month and it just wasted, it should earn me over rm20 cb....
*
this caught many ppl by surprise.

the dreaded delay in cb is annoying. hlb wise, uob yolo, both credits their cb by end of following month. hlb wise statement still tag each trx with eligible category, but uob yolo doenst tell you until you calculate ur own.

thank you for reply.

I did some basic calculation.

- Groceries $500 (PBB VS 6% = 30.00)
- Petrol $250 (AEON BIG 5% = 12.50)
- Maxis (mobile) $250 (PBB VS 6% = 15.00)
- Dining $100 (PBB VS 6% = 6.00)
- Insurance $600 (NIL)
- TNB $100 (Yolo 6% = 6.00)
- Syabas $50 (Yolo 6% = 3.00)
- Astro $100 (Yolo 6% = 6.00)
- TM Streamyx $60 (Yolo 6% = 3.60)

Total cash rebate = 82.10

If I use WISE, I can get RM100. After minus WISE annual fee 13.33/month, I can get net 86.67.
WISE give me higher cash rebate amount and easier for me to pay the CC debt to only 1 bank. Plus I can pump petrol whenever my car run out of fuel.

Any other combination can give me better cash rebate? I don't mind hard work a bit in order to get better rebate.

p/s: I am not sure YOLO treat utiltities bill as online bill payment and can get 6%? I just assume I can get the 6% and calculate the possible amount. Please correct me if got any YOLO expert here.

bump you here

check post #1 for YOLO features. note the cashback tier and min spend. List of eligible transactions are in post #1.

Huhhh really ahhhhh...i jus got off arguing about my my jan bill...jus because of tnb bill of like 80bucks....
I was surprised as to y i only got back 20bucks for this mth bill so i called them up. They told me i due to my tnb...cos th rest of my txns are really online retail so it cant b those and the reason i paid tnb thru payonline also is to make up the 800bucks limitation...

I m wondering...wen is your stmt cycle? mine is mthend mayb they just changed it?
*
doesnt matter on the statement cycle. uob tabulate all the transactions for the whole Jan.

perhaps you can share when did you perform RM80 TNB @ uobpayonline?

others (who gotten cb) can compare when they swiped similar to yours, then we would know (possibly) the cutoff when they excude TNB from their calculation.

Exactly my thoughts tooo....exactly my arguements but the CS keep talking about TNB not included in CB and it is in the TNC....

Then i was like....yes eventhough you take out 89bucks...i should still get more than 20 wut....
she was like no TNB cannot be calculated for cb...going round n round again....
later i think i m going to bug them again....

This is my purchases in JAN17.
OneShop.com.my $200.00
Electric payonline $89.00
Althea $357.00
Webserver $177.00
Time $10.64
*
any refund happened?

iinm, it would reduce the total eligible spend amount calculation.

Ahh good idea. I overlooked tge fact tat cs was reading the cashback cb n not qualifying spend.
*
actually need to guide them step by step when questioning the t&c.

1) are all ur Jan spending, are the total >799? let them calculate. if not, which is not part of Qualifying Spend.
2) if total spend >799, then cb tier is rm50 cap. let them confirm it.
3) then how many of the transactions are eligible for cb. let them calculate.

need to frame the question into their answers so that they know which is incorrect or questionable.

I just paid my ptptn tru ptptn portal using yolo, last month anyone tried it already? if so we can know it eligible or not end of this month.
*
only later u would know cuz 2 issues with this:

1) uob can detect it as Online payment mode, and grant you the cashback

or

2) uob detected the payment is govt-related, and does not grant you the cashback

no one knows which one uob detect first.
