is there any apparent benefit between gold and platinum apart from a possible increased credit limit?

based on this link
http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p.../PRO-Promotions

just want to confirm we pay income tax using amex card on weekend?
i dont care much for the promo as i dont really "hope" to get the cash back.
just want to get 5% +5x TP using amex spending on weekend.

add:
for the admin charge, lets say make it into 6 months installment, the admin charge will be 1.25% x 6 times?
*
assuming you are referring to ezypay, no the admin charge is a one off your total sum.

The additional charge on top of purchase for using credit card overseas is the same for ALL credit cards from different bank?

I never used credit card overseas, is it worth paying with credit card? Won't it be more costly compared to paying  in cash? Or somehow can offset with the points?!
*
i used my cc in korea a few times. no additional charges. only the currency exchange rate slightly higher. worth paying for expensive items if you are short on cash. but i bought bingsu using CC also la just for the lolz.

Correct.

You only can extract it when you calculate your statement.

However, I noticed that CIMB's rate was rather decent even after the extra charge as it's almost as close to the exchange rate as possible.

Yes. for my case it's like 20 cents more compared to the amount I changed at the money changer in Malaysia. But if MYR further declines, the exchange rate is negligible liao laugh.gif
