QUOTE(yusiang @ Mar 15 2017, 01:11 PM) Governement related fee can get 5% cashback if you pay during weekend. You still won't get any TP for government transactions. I read this from the T&C: Q18 : I know I can get Weekend Cash Back on weekend spend, but will I also earn TreatsPoints at the same time? A18 : Yes, you will enjoy both Weekend Cash Back and TreatsPoints on weekend spend.

I just call cs, and was informed that overseas transactions will incur 2.5% charge for amex. This means I'll only get 2.5% cb when I use it on weekends.

QUOTE(Devil4life @ Apr 3 2017, 04:52 PM) Update : Just called and surprisingly no question ask amount was RM1X,XXX, requires 3 working days. Let's see if it's true. Yes, maybank has good customer service this way. I had 3k+ funds in a m2c visa, which was due to cancelled transaction refund. Cs transfered the amount to my current acc. No questions.

QUOTE(chubbyqq @ Apr 6 2017, 05:56 PM) FYI, this is what Maybank FB reply me when I ask about bringing credit cards to foreign countries. Kindly be informed that there is no activation needed for credit card retail overseas transaction. For credit card usage via the overseas online website or overseas, there will be additional charge 2.25% (VISA and Mastercard) on top of the purchase while for AMEX card will be 2.5% on top of the purchase amount. Generally, there will be a PIN usage of credit card and it is subject to the country and merchant acceptance, as an example for Australia and some European Countries, you may be required to key in your Credit card PIN number. However, there are several countries are still not using the PIN & Pay method. Thank you. QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 6 2017, 06:51 PM) Expected answer. They also told me the same via phone. There was another guy reported here, was told the same and yet Maybank still called him in overseas. I just want to have peace of mind for my travels and make it as a habit to call banks. Though I dislike but I have to, just call few banks for me, the rest I keep back home. If u call cs to inform, they will ask if you're roaming your phone number. I always say no. They say ok.
