Initially, AMEX transactions give 5TP per ringgit.

Now, Maybank comes out with "new benefits", which specifically say for petrol transactions, AMEX users can get 5TP per ringgit IF the total amount <RM300.

So while waiting for the full terms and conditions, people start to speculate... does Maybank mean...

1) For non-Petrol transactions, AMEX users will still receive 5TP per ringgit? (ignore those government bodies)
2) AMEX users are only entitled for the "new benefit" of 5TP per ringgit on Petrol (<RM300), whereas the "old benefits" of 5TP per ringgit on non-Petrol transactions are gone?

So good, I tried to ask for Visa, for the staff at counter said only their management can choose, customers just need to be content to the cards they send us.
