Greeting fellow sifus,

Wanted to ask, whether I can transfer my outstanding from a credit card to any of my 2 cards online or is there even such a thing?

You can use the BT function online but I'm not sure whether it is working or not.

BT got any charges or interest?
I tried online and service is unavailable bangwall.gif

Ask them to transfer for you.
Maybank say no need from their FB page reply but just to be safe, call and inform.

FYI, this is what Maybank FB reply me when I ask about bringing credit cards to foreign countries.

Kindly be informed that there is no activation needed for credit card retail overseas transaction. For credit card usage via the overseas online website or overseas, there will be additional charge 2.25% (VISA and Mastercard) on top of the purchase while for AMEX card will be 2.5% on top of the purchase amount.

Generally, there will be a PIN usage of credit card and it is subject to the country and merchant acceptance, as an example for Australia and some European Countries, you may be required to key in your Credit card PIN number. However, there are several countries are still not using the PIN & Pay method. Thank you.

Expected answer. smile.gif
They also told me the same via phone. There was another guy reported here, was told the same and yet Maybank still called him in overseas. smile.gif
I just want to have peace of mind for my travels and make it as a habit to call banks. Though I dislike but I have to, just call few banks for me, the rest I keep back home. biggrin.gif

Noted. For my peace of mind I will call too. Forgot to mention that I won't be using roaming as well since they can't call in.

If u call cs to inform, they will ask if you're roaming your phone number. I always say no. They say ok.

Thanks for reminding! I totally forgot to mention that I will not use my number to roam.

1. By default, your card is ready to be used overseas. But will be nice let them noticed you are out of country and avoid fraud just in-case.

2. 1-800 toll-free is FOC from Celcom number. Not the other. 1-300 not so worth using cellphone. Otherwise, call their landline.

okay this I really don't know! thanks for info!

The additional charge on top of purchase for using credit card overseas is the same for ALL credit cards from different bank?

I never used credit card overseas, is it worth paying with credit card? Won't it be more costly compared to paying  in cash? Or somehow can offset with the points?!
*
Hello, not sure what are the charges for other banks. Please do inquire about the info from other threads as this is Maybank thread.

I only bring it for emergency. In case I bring not enough cash or theft etc, at least I still can withdraw money from my credit card or use it.
