Where to check Maybank Credit Card exchange rate?
If now USD to MYR is 1:4.45 What is the rate Maybank charge if I spend 1USD? More than 4.45 or? Please advise for both Visa and AMEX rate. Which one better for overseas? |

QUOTE(red_scorpion @ Feb 19 2017, 07:18 PM) Sure higher la boss..Bank rates always higher, some more they will charge you another 1-2.5% overseas swipe fees on top of the rate.. so you will only see the final rate which is around 4.5 I did!!!!!! Today when I called Maybakk ask about this. He said no matter Visa or AMEX all rate is 4.45 today =.=|||... I ask back 'Confirmed?' he said Yes~I think for mbb, amex charge extra 2.5%, visa is 2%..You should call bank for exact percentage |

Today my mum went to Hoxda Service Center collect Road Tax and renew insurance and pay by cc.
The payment is not done by POS... They took down the card number and so on and ask to sign a form. Is it dangerous and it is normal for some merchant that allow to make payment like this? |

QUOTE(starry-starry @ Mar 20 2017, 10:42 PM) That was my initial plan... but if you read posts (I think just few pages before this), there's actually a better way to enjoy 5% CB while still enjoy RM2 rebate for auto billing. Good idea. That mean my balance is RM189.74. Then I paid 169.74 by AMEX and then 20 auto pay? I worry later TM auto pay 189.74 tooIf you refer to TM website, minimum payment is RM20 and you will enjoy RM2 rebate for auto-billing. Pay the balance using your AMEX. |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Mar 20 2017, 10:50 PM) 3 ways: How my bill date is 13 every month? Now the outstanding show on my occ account. If now I paid the amount minus RM20+. Will TM charge me bill amount 189.74 or outstanding 20+? amount? I worry later I pay RM169.74 and auto pay charge again 189.741) maintain autobilling ----- on weekends before bill date, pay outstanding [minus] rm20+, leave balance just about rm20+. this way, when autobill run, it will pay balance rm20+ and grant you rm2 autobill rebate for next bill. how to know your current outstanding before bill date: a) if many usages (e.g. call charges or VAS), can check in Unifi OCC ~1 week prior to bill date. you will see the current outstanding, then roughly you'd know the amount to pay in advance. why 1 week? at least you got yourself a spare weekend to pay the unifi bill! below is a simulation i did for my Unifi. an average of 3-4 days whereby the previous weekend falls before bill date on the 7th ![]() b) if you hardly use anything else with unifi, you sure know the fixed bill amount every month. 2) maintain autobilling ----- do nothing. hit-or-miss for weekend transaction. easy to maintain but no gain! 3) cancel autobilling ----- manually pay all outstanding on weekend. you have about 2-3 weekends before payment due date (21 days after bill date). |

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Mar 21 2017, 08:34 AM) how come u got 2 bill date? 13th and 19th? Sorry. Bill date on 13 and not 19. Mean it is too late already and I only can start on next month. Thank you!for your bill date 13th, it's already too late. you MUST manually pay before the bill date on 13th. meaning, if you are expecting RM189.xx for 13 Apr bill, then manually pay RM169 on 8 Apr (Sat) or 9 Apr (Sun) using Amex. once the payment is cleared in TM account, the bill on 13 Apr will have outstanding of RM20.xx. a few more days, the autobill will kick-in to pay the bill outstanding of RM20.xx. then you would be granted RM2 autopay rebate for next month's bill on 13 May. fyi, RM2 autopay rebate will be granted if oustanding is minimum RM20, the autpay will pay the full outstanding amount (e.g. RM20.01 or RM20.02, etc) |

QUOTE(akping_1 @ Mar 22 2017, 07:04 PM) http://www.theedgemarkets.com/my/article/m...nts-service-may Hopefully can bind AMEX with Alipay... So whatever the merchant that not accept AMEX but allow Alipay we can use AMEX instead. But when it happen I believe the AMEX TP will reduce.Assuming can use AMEX with Alipay, mean indirectly more place can accept the AMEX |
