Hi guys, finally after 7 years of inactivity i just resurrected my m2U account & now looking forward to apply for maybank 2 card.

what is the limit for gold card btw?
i dont care for the card color as long as it has reasonable limit.
*
limit is up to the officer and will mainly depend on your income and CCRIS/CTOS score..

Hope you used MBB 10% Expedia promo. I really saved quite a bit especially when the promo had no cap biggrin.gif

Confirmed got 5% cashback and no TP. I paid mine on 25-Mar, and got cashback on 1-Apr.

I was looking forward more for the 5x TP than the CB

evergreen or unredeemed points are actually a liability to the bank.

they want to dispose it ASAP, hence putting a cap to expiration.
*
Any benefit they give to consumers is a liability to them lol. But for me, I'd rather have evergreen points than amex weekend 5% CB.

Hi, is it possible to apply for this card using just EPF and EA form?
Its my first card btw.
*
You can with just EPF form during roadshow booths, but in branches they require your salary slip and bank account statement as well. (EA and EPF not necessary)
Not sure if anything has changed recently though.

Sometimes it is not just documents.
They'll look into CCRIS & CTOS.
They'll assess your DSR.
They'll also take into consideration if your payroll account is with them.

Lol he was asking about applying not approval

When you apply, you hope for it to get approved.
What I shared is the reality behind the process.
*
But he is only asking for what documents is required to apply. If he is asking what is the criteria to be approved then that's a different story.

Thanks for your clarification, bro!  notworthy.gif

Yup, if is going to expire, PETRONAS gift card is my only choice, else normally I wait until can redeem shopping voucher.

As none of the On-the-spot redeem is near to my daily route. Have to make a trip for it , either with LRT (KLCC) or drive to Mid Valley or 1U.
*
Others mentioned you can redeem Jusco/Parkson RM50 voucher with 20k TP at 1U MBB service centre as well.

Haha, guess that's not much use then. I do a lot of online shopping so I'd like cards that can give rebate...
Anyway thanks guys!  biggrin.gif

Most local online shops don't, but almost every online overseas retailers accepts Amex. Big advantage is the 5x points as well. Already have nearly 700k points in 2.5 years which equals to RM1,750 cash voucher redemption.
If I used my other bank cards, i'd probably be getting around RM450 redemption worth.

To add on what David has just posted, I think I saw it few days ago that someone posted Maybank only considers basic salary + fixed allowances as annual income.
*
I asked a senior staff at a Maybank branch a month ago and she said they also consider annual bonus. smile.gif

how do you guys decide where to get the most out of TreatPoints ? Is conversion 400TP = RM1 , the correct calculation to use ?
*
The most worthwhile redemption is airmiles, but it takes very long to collect what is needed unless you're an avid swiper.

Ok, have already reached my RM20 petrol CB + RM50 weekend CB.
The RM70 CB will help a bit in offsetting my next month's expenses smile.gif

Sorry to burst you but the promo cash back will only be credited back to you after campaign ends.

ughh just noticed that part..

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Apr 11 2017, 05:42 PM)
10% petrol cashback is not guaranteed. Max payout RM100,000 only for the period 15/3/17-30/4/17.
*
At RM20 max per principal, chances are a bit higher if you are able to hit within the 1st week of each month I think.. oh well at least 5x points is still there wink.gif
