Guys. Recently, reps from NUSkin explained their products to me, specifically on R2 Yspan anti ageing. I would like to get this for my mum, cause she is over 60 and I would like her to be energetic as always. She has vein problems, and recently fractured her leg bone.

So she is not in a very good shape... I need something to boost her up, vitamins and stuff.

What would you guys recommend, have u got anything from your parents??

Im not sure of this R2 Yspan, its MLM, but then Amway is MLM, Im only concerned of the side effects and if it is effective.

Please advice guys!

Thx

I wouldn't agree with them. One should always fix the inner body before trying to fix the outer skin as they are all connected. Those companies are MLM which means profit first. How much do they profit? Min 200% rclxms.gif For me, I prefer to buy and do my own research. I won't trust those saleman/woman. I don't do MLM/direct sales as I find that I save more by buying those supplement myself.

My recommendations:
Energy = CoQ10 (ubiquinone) + Vitamin B complex
Vein problems = Grape seed extract/Pine Bark Extract + Hesperidin + Quercetin
Calcium maintenance for menopause = Now Bone Strength

For my parents, I am giving them
Healthy Origins CoQ10 (ubiquinone) - for heart health and to counter side effects of cholesterol meds
Nordic Naturals/Carlson fish oil - for heart health
Healthy Origins Astaxanthin - all purpose antioxidant
Nutrex Hawaiian Spirulina - general all purpose multivitamin
Now bone strength - for my mother to prevent osteoporosis
Now prostate support - to keep my father prostate in check

Direct selling (better known as MLM) is just a method of doing business. Just as the term "direct selling", they are basically companies that sell their products directly from manufacturer to customers. Hence, the profit made is just a one time mark up from manufacturers' themselves in comparison where we buy our products from supermarkets and pharmacies where the price has been marked up several times. Claiming MLM companies making a profit of 200% without any substantiation is just obnoxious.

And making savings from off-shelve purchase is definitely incorrect, stores do not give discounts just so customers can get some savings, they are doing business to make profit after all. Hence, it is just marketing strategies to attract more customers. That is, unless you can get the stock directly from supplier/manufacturer at their price, which is as good as pricing from MLM. From here onwards, the pricing difference is just quality of the product.

For example, Tupperware is a direct selling company. They are pretty famous for their plastic wares. How do you think they are going to compete with so many brands out there (e.g. Elianware) with a mark up of 200%? So there you go, compare buying a plastic ware from Daiso and one from Tupperware, and you will know the difference in quality.

But of course, I agree that being a wise person, one should never trust any salesperson, whether they are from MLM, promoters in supermarkets/pharmacies, and even fellow forumers. They claims they made are best served as reference, being objective at all times and doing own personal research is still the most important. smile.gif

Want to bet that they are not making 200% off us? I can give you proof. Cosway source their spirulina from Parry Pharmaceuticals. The same spirulina found in the Now brand which is going for about RM70-80/bottle with 500 tablets.

Nn Organic Spirulina 250mg 300 tablets (cosway) = RM68.90
Now Organic Spirulina 500mg 500 tablets = RM70-80

One Nn Organic Spirulina = RM0.2296666666666667 You will need 2Nn Organic Spirulina tablet = 1 Now Organic Spirulina = RM0.4593333333333334
One Now Organic Spirulina= RM0.16 (I am using RM80/bottle after coutning in US shipping)

Profit by Cosway = 287.0833333333334% rclxms.gif blink.gif

Remember, same spirulina from same company. Only different labeling.

Buy based on journals and not word of mouth. biggrin.gif

Yet to adjust for the BPFK approval testing and costs, KKM registrations, MLM license, retail outlet rental, franchise costs, etc.

Can't compare it to unlicensed and technically illegal version of the supplements.

A long time ago I tried ordering bulk spirulina powder from a local nutraceutical importer that contract manufactures for other brands.

I gave up. The cost even for their bulk, unbranded powder is way costlier than buying retail brands online.

I do not deny that there are illegal and irresponsible direct selling companies out there. Just like many good people out there, there are also many bad people out there. Similarly, they are also good and bad direct selling companies. Nothing is perfect.

Not sure how true is your claims above as there is no substantiation but just statement from you. But anyway, Cosway is not even in the Top 100 direct selling companies. I guess that itself say pretty much about the quality of their products.

Hence, like I said, being objective at all times and doing own personal research is still the most important. And yes, buy based on black and white, not just claims from salesperson.

Actually my info was from
https://www.ecosway.com/en_US/ourproducts/3490_3491.html
http://www.cosway.com.my/product/health/health_pricelist.htm
https://www.amazon.com/Now-Foods-Spirulina-...=now++spirulina

And emails with the NOW company regarding their spirulina. Even in the reviews they mentioned that Now was using Parry's spirulina. Used to be a Cosway customer until found out how about this and much they are are shortchanging us as consumers. After that, I took other MLM/direct sales company products and make price comparison and I never look back.

Agreed. Do research before buying. If something like deer placenta is priced at RM8888/box with 15 bottles and the company is known as MLM company, I will avoid immediately. shakehead.gif
