There is no building wide ban to my limited knowledge. Some high end KLCC apartments have piped gas so you'll have to use their supply.

My own apartment is installed induction hob and microwave. Didn't consider gas because it's inconvenient to transport gas cylinder from lobby up till 19th floor.
