Just purchased bb rm38 sim. YouTube is 10gb, normal internet is 6gb. Realised that with Internet quota seemed can't make call using WhatsApp. Can anyone confirm about it?

I tried make outgoing call, even the other side answered call, my side still shows as Connecting with "tut tut" tone. Tried to use other phone to WhatsApp call in, when I answered, also showed as Connecting status and the calling side sound like call is no answer at all.

Maybe Digi want to force their customer to buy VOIP RM5 monthly so try to block WhatsApp call.

Anyone please help to check if you facing the same issue. Thanks.

I'm using Digi new boardband currently. Initially realized that the WhatsApp call is not supported under this plan unless I pay another RM5 to subscribe the VOIP plan. So, after I subscribed the VOIP plan, my quota will looks like 6gb data, 10 Free streaming and 3gb VOIP.

Now after 2 days usage, I found out that all of my data usage including YouTube are deducted from VOIP 3GB quota instead of normal data. I felt something's not right there. The VOIP quota will be used up first before others. Meaning after 3gb VOIP data used up then I can't make WhatsApp call again even I still got plenty of normal data. Then how? Purchase another rm5 VOIP top up? Then all usage will be falled under it again! What a stupid method!

I'd called Digi help line and the officer told me exactly as what I'm thinking of and mentioned It's written at FAQ section. Yes, it's really written there, the VOIP quota ranged on the first priority there!!

So, any one facing same issue? Any solution?

Digi Broadband packages is different from Digi Postpaid packages.

Why don't you change to Postpaid plan?

Postpaid plans maybe more expensive, and got weekend 4G quota limitation. My house area has no 4G signal, no point to waste half of the quota with the plans.

Lolx digi thinking of money....
Rm5 for 100k customers every month is a huge amount doh.gif

Btw, i saw ppl complain that voip plan comes with 3GB additional quota but will use that quota 1st instead of others.

So, rm5 for 3GB is a very good plan for some users that dun wan use voip totally..smile.gif
*
Yes. If rm5 for 3GB really cheap. But I'm facing stupid issue from Digi currently due to this rm5 quota.

Realised that after I bought the rm5 for VOIP topup, the Internet speed becomes very slow. My connection is at 3G with at least 3 bars signal, no 4G coverage at my area yet. Speed test result come out less than 400kbps! I did tested the sim card on different devices including using samsung note 4 phone, tested at different location, all give me the same turtle speed. I'm wondering maybe currently all the usage deduction under VOIP quota which having low speed Internet. I can only confirm this after I can finished using this 3GB VOIP quota, see if the speed can goes back to normal.

So... the initial 1GB free quota from Digi for 5 days is totally wasted now, no chance to use it as all quota deduction still under that turtle speed VOIP quota. Feeling like back to old days using streamyx with 384kbps speed.... really not easy to fully consume that 3GB quota with the turtle speed mad.gif

Already wrote to Digi Support but didn't get any feedback yet. vmad.gif

I also faced the same issue too!

I just simply tried the VoIP yesterday. Then to my dismay, the speed became really slow.
Before this i can achieve 4G LTE around 6-7mbps dl, 4mbps ul. But after having the voip, now became 0.34mbp dl, 0.3mbps ul. Tried to restart the router and restart pc still the same!  doh.gif

I immediately called digi hotline and asked the CS to FORCEFULLY REMOVE the voip package but i don't mind wasting the rm5. They said they need to investigate it first and will give me a call to update on the case.

Thanks for your feedback, at least to confirm that this is not my own issue. Currently still struggling to use up the 3GB VOIP quota... today still remaining about 800MB... almost there.... sweat.gif

how did you try to finish the VOIP quota? Start blasting Youtube? hahaha

i plan to do the same as well. Tonight will start to full blast youtube running at pathetic 144p resolution but with multiple PCs and laptops to drain the 3GB. At the moment i just left 200MB of 3GB.

But running video yet it used VOIP quota bucket as well? That is so wrong Digi!

I let my kid to blasting youtube at home with his ipad... not as fast as yours, 1 day used up less than 1GB. You can use MyDigi apps to monitor the usage, all the usage currently goes into VOIP bucket vmad.gif When I asked digi customer service that why all the usage goes into VOIP bucket, she asked me to read the FAQ section which is this:

already called up Digi CS yesterday, posted at Digi MyCommunity board as well as wrote an email to Digi helpcare this afternoon.

See how they are going to rectify this problem.

Finally finished the VOIP quota. Checked the speed, it's back to normal by now. So I tested on WhatsApp call again... As expected, cannot call by now due to exhausted of VOIP quota. Hopefully Digi can resolve this issue ASAP.

Tell me your problem, I'll report to Digi people instead of CS smile.gif

Thanks bro. The issues for new broadband plan in summary:

1. Digi blocked VOIP call on broadband package, force customer to pay rm5 for the 3GB VOIP quota.
2. After VOIP quota added, all the data usage (everything including FB, Youtube, Internet Surfing, etc) will be deducted under VOIP 3GB quota instead and throttled 384Kbps speed.
3. In order to get back to normal speed, I have to used up all the VOIP quota first. But after VOIP quota exhausted, VOIP call not longer working again.

Meaning, if you want to use for VOIP call, you can only use the broadband at 384Kbps speed with 3GB quota. If you want to get full speed Internet, VOIP call will be blocked.

Hope Digi can come out solution asap.

It's OK bro. Just wait for digi to solve it. If they refused to solve it then will consider to report it to MCMC... bruce.gif

@rgchai or others who are on BB100, have you tried to buy the RM5 VoIP addon and does the internet got throttled again or not?
*
Didn't receive any further feedback from Digi if this issue already been fixed. So, I don't dare to buy the rm5 VOIP again or else will have hard time to exhausted the 3GB quota at turtle speed again. Hope Digi can fix this issue soon.

You got any feedback from Digi so far?

For all new Digi bb100 users,

On first login to Digi broadband dashboard page with browser (not mydigi app), Digi will give you free 1gb data. Realised that this 1gb data will totally blocked all the traffic on WhatsApp including sending and receiving message. This may happened to other 30 or 60 plans.

To resolve this, you have to used up the 1gb free quota then your WhatsApp will be back to normal. smile.gif

Anyone tried using the normal Digi Prepaid reload to reload Digi Broadband? Those that can be purchased online & will auto-reload to the phone? Does it work? Or need to buy specific type of reload to reload Digi Broadband? Thanks.

I tried it before to reload the Prepaid 30 broadband plan through Qoo10 webiste. The verification sms sent from website never receive, so can't make it afterall.

I haven't been able to purchase add-ons for any of my postpaid plans (Digi 80 & Digi Broadband 185) for some time now. Everytime want to purchase via myDigi app, the app crashes after i click on 'purchase add ons' button. Same via desktop browser also. Anyone experiencing the same?
*
I having same problem as well for quite number of days already. Same case, Mydigi app crashed whenever click on the Add-on button. Website add-on shows nothing. I'm at Broadband 70 Ambassador plan which is equal balance to broadband 100 plan.

Tried to wrote to Digi through FB messenger, no reply at all. Hope Digi can solve it asap.

Mine OK. Maybe you had redeemed the 1GB free quota? If so, just finish the free quota then WhatsApp will be resumed as normal.

hahaha ... giving free data but bundle with trouble.  mad.gif  mad.gif

The free quota can be used for anything except WhatsApp, think it's due to Digi system's bug. The speed also same as normal speed for my case. I run YouTube video for quite sometimes to deplete the free 1gb quota before my WhatsApp get back to normal.
