Digi now going aggressive on their plans. They really want to fight with all the telcos. But I hope this will not jam their network. Already loving everything from Digi so far.

Me too , want to port out from celcom, I'm ok with celcom , good coverage good speed , but Digi weekend unlimited is tempting since my housing area still don't have telephone pole.
*
Just changed already. Not so unlimited. But got 100GB quota. But for me more than enough. For sure cannot reach the quota.
If you want to port, you can try to buy Digi simpack and try first. If not you can go First Gold Plus and add AnytimeGB for a total RM108 since you said that Celcom is okay at ur place.

Hi guys,

Can anyone advice me on the new digi LTE-A wireless dongle being good ?
I see here you need a cat 6 device to really make full use of the speed.

So iphone 7 with LTE-A dongle ? Will this combination work ? And confirm faster than the normal LTE dongle.
Thank you in advance
*
iPhone 7 already support LTE-A. No need for extra dongle.

*
Note 5 can switch LTE for both SIM but not simultaneously.

Hi, sorry to ask you

Seems like you are knowledgeable with Digi

I'm using Digi50
Wife using Digi68
Kid using Digi Prepaid...but I top up RM10 monthly

I want to do family plan

I use Data only about 4gb a month, My wife about 3gb
Kid less than 1gb

If I stick to my current plan, that data underusage

So I think of Family plan, what is best for me and how much?
Right now I paying RM128 for myself, wife and kid separately.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion  notworthy.gif

You can take Digi Postpaid 80
(10 GB Daily + 10 GB Weekend + Unlimited calls to all networks + 300 SMS) - Only 10 GB daily is shareable
+ Add RM10 for Internet Sharing across family

You have two choices for supp plan:
1: Digi Postpaid 28
(50 mins calls and 50 SMS + 3 GB for supplementary plan)
Once finish will utilize data from the main account

2:Digi Postpaid 38
(Unlimited calls to all networks + Unlimited SMS to 3 Digi Friends)
No free data and will utilize directly from main account 10 GB

++ All calls and SMS made within family packages is free around 1000 units

If take Postpaid 80 + Shareable Internet + Postpaid Supp 28 (for both accounts)
(10 GB Daily shareable + 10 GB weekend for main line only + 3 GB data for each supp line + Unlimited call for main line + 50 mins Calls and SMS for supp line)
= RM146 not including GST

If take Postpaid 80 + Shareable Internet + Postpaid Supp 38 (for both accounts)
(10 GB Daily shareable + 10 GB weekend for main line only + Supp line get data from main account + Unlimited call to all networks on both supp line)
= RM166 not including GST

*Alternative 3rd choice
If take Postpaid 50 + Shareable Internet + Postpaid Supp 28 (for both accounts)
(5 GB Daily shareable + 5 GB weekend for main line only + 100 calls and SMS for main line + 3 GB data for each supp line + 50 mins Calls and SMS for supp line)
= RM116 not including GST

Probably under fire of pissed smart users wink.gif
*
It seems like it. But I am afraid that if no usage policy in place sure user will abuse the network kaw-kaw. Don't want it to become like Celcom with their Burung Hantu previously. The network always hang after 1 am.
If with Digi, on weekend cannot use internet.
Actually I like they place the 100 GB threshold in place so that the users will not abuse the network.

Actually the weekend internet can be used on 3G. Confirm deduct from weekend quota even in 3G.
Maybe will try again this weekend downloading on 3G. Will give out the results later.

postpaid 110 get that borderroam 5GB in 5 countries for free right?
does it mention the quota in the digi app as well?
*
Actually I do not know how to activate that. Maybe will try to call Digi later. But in my plan they do not show anything about BorderRoam.

QUOTE(prosibu @ Dec 16 2016, 07:27 AM)
Glad to see that... Seems many heavy users will come back to digi....
*
Then the network become overcrowded. I hope Digi keep improving the capacity. Now they have too much users in their hands.

QUOTE(xzilem @ Dec 16 2016, 08:09 AM)
Demn, still thinking should i stay with umobile video onz unlimited or mnp to digi for 4g weekend unlimited.
*
If you like to watch videos, it is better to use Video Onz bcoz it can be used anytime without restrictions.

QUOTE(kernel123 @ Dec 16 2016, 08:18 AM)
wow. thats really good. now can compete with u mobile unlimited video onz. hopefully no speed cap will be imposed.

*
Will give you speed update this weekend. Can't wait to stream The Grand Tour in Full HD this weekend

where got too much users in their hand? Umobile the one la stealing customers from the big 3 telcos  cool2.gif
*
But still the customers on Digi is still the highest. And they did increase the number of customers registered on postpaid. So if they keep this up, the network will be much more jammed.

QUOTE(keewah @ Dec 16 2016, 10:57 AM)
I am using iDigi for almost 2 years
earlier this year they upgrade the data quota to 3gb
but this morning, when my  data refresh , i notice my quota increase to 9gb
*
Maybe their MyDigi gone haywire?

QUOTE(tympg @ Dec 16 2016, 11:17 AM)
You have to go to a Digi Store and ask them to activate RoamBorder.  If you have not been with this account for six months (obviously) and you did not register with autobilling, bring your passport along.

I ported in my main line on Tuesday and then registered RoamBorder the next day.

Will do later this week. Can register without passport? Because interested of the free RoamBorder for Postpaid 110? Will go to Indonesia this Feb.

QUOTE(Qash-M @ Dec 16 2016, 02:53 PM)
Oh, now the weekend quota can be used on 3G network without deducting the all-day one? ohmy.gif

Well one Digi CS staff told me to bring my passport for roaming activation, but when I did the actual activation, the other CS staff didn't ask to see my passport, probably because I was registering for auto-billing at the same time.

If you really can't bring your passport now, you can try your luck and see if they are OK with it.
*
Oh ok. Will definitely try later this week. Thanks for the feedback.

Update Apple software using 3G all the time. So confirm it only deducts the 3G quota as shown below. biggrin.gif
So the quota definitely works on 3G.

QUOTE(izwanikhsan @ Dec 17 2016, 01:01 AM)
So even if you are on 3g, it deducts your 4g weekend quota? That's great because I am thinking of porting from the unstable umobile to Digi but my area is only covered by Digi 3g network. Maxis is beyond my budget, Celcom doesn't have free sms for rm80 plan and I dont trust webe. So digi postpaid plan 80 sounds good if weekend quota now can be used on 3g network too.
*
They may change it in the future. But so far their 4G quota works wonderfully on 3G. Maybe you try to port to Digi and try first.

QUOTE(izwanikhsan @ Dec 17 2016, 01:06 AM)
I hope digi will update their website to inform that unlike kedekut Maxis that requires 4g to be activated during weekend or else main quota will be used,  Digi 4g quota is usable even if we are on 3g. Digi postpaid 80 is still within my budget.
*
Maybe they don't want many people port to their telco. Want to prevent overcrowding? biggrin.gif

The 4G signal did not drop. Thus you are using VoLTE. To get best voice call quality, call Digi to Digi both must have VoLTE.
