Due to its SD processor?
Tat is good, no need to research all this intra inter thung which no much sales know about this...
*
It's explicitly stated that support both interband and intraband by Xiaomi.

How about mi5 32gb? 2CA doesn't support digi 4g+?
*
Mi5 support Digi 4G+ but it won't be shown as 4G+ as it only utilized 20MHz bandwidth.

Need how many MHz then will display 4g+?

Care to explain more . 20mhz, 2xCA, 3xCA ..

3xCA network not backward compatible with 2xCA device?
*
Because 20MHz of contiguous bandwidth is achievable even without CA on few primary LTE bands so some device only recognize Digi network as LTE Cat4 network and hence 4G+ is not displayed. LTE-A or also known as 4G+ is aimed to achieve Cat6 speed. If you have a 3X CA device, it's better because you could connect to 2X CA network but when you only have 2X CA phone you could only use 2X CA and not 3X CA. 3X CA is not used in Malaysia so you don't really gain any benefit from it. Our neighbor country Singapore's SingTel had 3X CA and South Korea's SK Telecom, Korea Telecom and LG U+ had 3X CA. Hell, even SK Telecom had plan to roll out 4X CA.

so if redmi note 4 support 4g+.. it should support digi 4g+ ? But it cannot achieve the speed that my s7e can. So i'm not sure if it's on 4g+ or not..
*
Redmi Note 4 only support intraband CA and Digi is using interband CA.

mind to elaborate on intraband and interband? Does it have anything to do with 2xCA and 3xCA?

after some reading, intraband is one spectrum supporting 20mhz there for able to achieve 4g+. am I right?

while interband means 2xCA or 3xCA.. combing 2 spectrum to achieve 20mhz or 30mhz ..
Update : I found this in mediatek website. shouldn't it support interband?

LTE FDD/TDD R11 Cat-6 with 20+20 CA

and then also this

Single RF for LTE/WCDMA/TD/EDGE/C2K
*
Let me give an simple example
Interband 20+20MHz from Band 3 and 7 each 20MHz
Intraband 20+20MHz but both must be from the same band either Band 3 or 7
Xiaomi doesn't enable interband CA to differentiate Redmi line from the flagship line.

i check wiki list of LTE..

Digi 1800 and 2600 only 10mhz on each band.. so that's why it doesn't support 4g+ as note4 doesn't do 2xCA ?

Maxis and Celcom has 20mhz on their 2600 band.
*
Redmi Note 4 doesn't support Digi 4G+ as it's Digi are using Interband CA and Redmi Note 4 is Intraband CA. Interband CA phones can utilize both type of CA and Intraband only work on Intraband CA.

If you plug China Mobile sim card into Redmi Note 4, it will show up as 4G+ network because China Mobile had Intraband CA at Band 41 + Band 41.

I try to explain with picture... Hope bro zher can verify my picture  biggrin.gif
But if I understand correctly, only combined frequency more than 20mhz only will show 4G+ on some phone.  blink.gif

Yeah, you're definitely right.
BTW, I'm not an expert in this just someone who spent considerable huge amount of time into learning all these stuff.

I know, but what about the bandwidth. Accord to a video, airplane can use ATG systems to get internet connectivity but it is painfully slow at around 5mbps, this is because there is only 3Mhz slice of the spectrum. Now I know, LTE is probably gonna be more efficient in using spectrums but still, how fast could it possibly be? 10-20 is my best bet.
*
22.5Mbps maybe sweat.gif

Seems like the only telco without indoor booster is Yes. I've been to Queensbay Mall and no signal all the way in LG floor. Ground floor had terrible signal strength and signal strength starts to improve when I go higher floors.

Well, if webe's network stability is your main concern, do note that they're roaming on Celcom's 2G and 3G network.

Webe had 2G roaming agreement with Celcom also?? hmm.gif

Blaming telco for when you're lazy to read up the TnC are similar to blaming Havard University for setting up extremely high barrier when you didn't perform well enough to enter

Yes, we as customers must read the TnC all the time. But marketing 100GB as Unlimited is purely bad ethical

I can't deny the second statement but some people always pretend to have victim complex when they are just too lazy to read sweat.gif

Put it in another perspective
How many % of Ppl will read T&C thoroughly (at least 15 mins) b4 pen down his/her signature on relevant docs?
*
It serves them right for not taking time to read TnC provided that that particular product or service is not falsely advertised.

Umobile is more transparent. Their unlimited VIDEO ONZ is truly unlimited despite speed capped at 1.5mbps.

If you want to talk about unlimited, U Mobile isn't true unlimited either. It's only good enough to qualify as unlimited quota.

My area is a digi black hole.

For some reason they never could get me good service. 200m from there at every direction i get 25mbs.

I struggle to get past 2-3mbs ...and so many packet losses it isn't even funny. Phone says full signal strength.
*
What about SNR value? You must have very poor or even negative SNR to achieve such bad speed on LTE.
