QUOTE(yvliew @ Nov 19 2016, 03:01 PM) Need how many MHz then will display 4g+? Care to explain more . 20mhz, 2xCA, 3xCA .. 3xCA network not backward compatible with 2xCA device? Because 20MHz of contiguous bandwidth is achievable even without CA on few primary LTE bands so some device only recognize Digi network as LTE Cat4 network and hence 4G+ is not displayed. LTE-A or also known as 4G+ is aimed to achieve Cat6 speed. If you have a 3X CA device, it's better because you could connect to 2X CA network but when you only have 2X CA phone you could only use 2X CA and not 3X CA. 3X CA is not used in Malaysia so you don't really gain any benefit from it. Our neighbor country Singapore's SingTel had 3X CA and South Korea's SK Telecom, Korea Telecom and LG U+ had 3X CA. Hell, even SK Telecom had plan to roll out 4X CA.

So i'm not sure if it's on 4g+ or not..

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Nov 19 2016, 06:28 PM) Redmi Note 4 only support intraband CA and Digi is using interband CA. mind to elaborate on intraband and interband? Does it have anything to do with 2xCA and 3xCA? after some reading, intraband is one spectrum supporting 20mhz there for able to achieve 4g+. am I right? while interband means 2xCA or 3xCA.. combing 2 spectrum to achieve 20mhz or 30mhz .. Update : I found this in mediatek website. shouldn't it support interband? LTE FDD/TDD R11 Cat-6 with 20+20 CA and then also this Single RF for LTE/WCDMA/TD/EDGE/C2K This post has been edited by yvliew: Nov 19 2016, 08:16 PM

Digi 1800 and 2600 only 10mhz on each band.. so that's why it doesn't support 4g+ as note4 doesn't do 2xCA ? Maxis and Celcom has 20mhz on their 2600 band.

Interband CA phones can utilize both type of CA and Intraband only work on Intraband CA. If you plug China Mobile sim card into Redmi Note 4, it will show up as 4G+ network because China Mobile had Intraband CA at Band 41 + Band 41.

Hope bro zher can verify my picture But if I understand correctly, only combined frequency more than 20mhz only will show 4G+ on some phone.

DiGi very tricky they can give everything you want today and take back tomorrow. They never say when this promo last but if im you i redeem it as soon as i can since 300mb not that much but the lifetime 3GB Music Freedom is good. Redeem it before DiGi change their mind..

QUOTE(jack2001 @ Nov 19 2016, 11:37 PM) btw, with the new spectrum allocation, would Digi be able to have more bandwidth for faster LTE-A? rumor is they testing with 3Mhz of 900mhz spectrum.... Only 10mhz of 1800mhz been used now. i guess government forcing them to serve 2G network still UM definitely no 2G. so they might use all (15mhz) of 1800mhz to have LTE 900mhz only got 5mhz bandwith, i check for the site survery they have use it for 3G ad

The speedtest usually around 4Mbps but still sufficient for HD streaming

Accord to a video, airplane can use ATG systems to get internet connectivity but it is painfully slow at around 5mbps, this is because there is only 3Mhz slice of the spectrum. Now I know, LTE is probably gonna be more efficient in using spectrums but still, how fast could it possibly be? 10-20 is my best bet. Found more info for the speeds of 900Mhz with 3mhz bandwidth. https://www.vodafone.cz/en/about-vodafone/p...-czech-republi/It says that 900Mhz can deliver speeds up to 20mbps only, with 15mbps being the average, so my bet isn't much off, but seriously, 20mbps is so little......
