QUOTE(BlueSilver @ Feb 2 2007, 05:45 PM) Hanon Finger Exercises is a piano book and u use it to practise on the guitar ah? wah... i think i would have to write down all the notes before i can start A good chord book means any good chord book or is it a book title? My lead guitarist used to play the advance versions on his electric guitar so much his left hand became noticably larger than his right LOL. It really developed his finger dexterity to a point he started shredding Satriani solos and all, prob why he ended up in Berkeley and I ended up taking Business studies in Sheffield Hanon finger exercises has easier versions now but the essential elements of working your fingers are still there. To me most of the chord books are good...as long as they are presented in a legible format. I normally play the exercises on my bass to develop strength and speed. LOL my friend Nick used to say that Bassists have to be twice as fast and strong to keep up with the electric guitar solos cos they have to replicate the notes on thicker strings....he was right.

QUOTE(echobrainproject @ Feb 2 2007, 10:34 PM) wow, now where can i get that book? Hanon Exercises can be obtained from any decent music school. I got the updated and simplified version (thank god) from Yamaha Music School Subang Parade. If they teach Piano they should have it.
