I think the speed this thread is moving is not an actual gauge of interest in the phone. Lots of people out there who don't check in here smile.gif But yes, I agree with you, on the whole, activity here has slowed down by far compared to previous years.

Draw a graph illustrating fall of the ringgit. Draw second graph illustrating fall in thread activity. Draw third graph illustrating inflation in Malaysia, and flip it around.
Overlay all three graphs. tongue.gif

The other thing to consider that this is the third straight year we are getting an iPhone with the same design - minus the headphone jack biggrin.gif

True words. I forgot about the majority of people not really caring about features or performance. They're just looking for something new.

Actually, I think the level of tech savvy-ness has kind of gone down with the past few generations.

In the late 1990s when I was a teen, you had to edit files like autoexec.bat and config.sys in MS-DOS just to be able to play games.

In the early 2000s you had to be able to build your own PC (remember jumper switches?) and install a UNIX or Linux system - no forums and Google was useless, support was via IRC or BBS mail lists - to be considered tech savvy.

Late 2000s, you were considered tech savvy if you could torrent stuff and troubleshoot your unreliable TMnet connection.

Nowadays, got Facebook or Snapchat already considered tech savvy. LOL

^^ Actually, my timeline's probably a bit wrong. Late 90's we had Win 95/98 and DirectX, I think. MS-DOS config editing was probably early 90's. Sorry, I growing old lah. Memory very fuzzy. sweat.gif

I remember taking the notorious pink Bas Mini going to those pirate shops in some Wisma/Plaze to buy flight sim games that came with 10+ floppy disks and a dictionary thick photostated manual. Those days, you got 4MB RAM (no GB back then kids) already considered extremely canggih. laugh.gif
