How to talk about the phone itself when new exploding post-replacement Note7 news and videos are surfacing almost everyday. Being better aware of these news is good for current owners and potential buyers. The phone itself is no doubt a great phone to use, but now the safety of users holds even greater concern especially post-replacement phones are still exploding.

My guess for Samsung next move is they will kill Note7 production and sales. Note7 reputation is permanently dented now with post-replacement units still exploding. Moreover, there are more competitor flagship launched and selling, iPhone 7 and Google Pixel, no confirm date of when Note7 will start selling again. Note7 ban on flight is the biggest hindrance to anyone buying it and no doubt the ban will extend to the post-replacement unit as well. Samsung will try to buy back existing Note7 from the market and focus on Note8 development. It will definitely dent Samsung Q4 profit for sure, but it is better than hefty lawsuits and future Samsung phones sales ban in many market if Note7 explosion involves human lives.

I agree too. Nothing wrong to discuss about the explosion issues if it concerns Note 7. While its user base is still small considering its delayed release, at least existing or potential future users know more about these 'issues' and can make their own decision on whether to continue to use it, to buy or sell it away.

Using my replacement unit from Courts and still loving it.. but if Samsung really deem that Note 7 line is to be halted which I highly doubt, appropriate thing to do would be offering refunds/giving s7e with some small refund, or promising s8 (one can dream XD).. as long as they acknowledge their mistake and do something about it I will continue to have confidence in Samsung smile.gif

This is such a let down from Samsung.. I upgraded from Note 5 to Note 7 simply because I love the S-Pen and I use it to play one of my games (Pokemon Shuffle), and of course camera wise I think its THE best in the smartphone market currently..

This phone exploding issue not only give so much hassel in replacing a "Safe" unit and not to mention the wasting the new case and screen protector that I just bought for the replaced unit.

Now this second wave of explosion also gave me trouble with Webe, because they claimed that the phone is not safe to use hence they did not certify it (Not a valid reason if you ask me cause the phone supports the 850 bandwidth and it IS technically a 2016 phone, my safety is none of Webe's concern, its Samsung's issue to deal with), end up Im billed RM60 extra for something which is clearly not my fault.

SME better refund us properly if they are going to do so mad.gif

And now totally not sure what replacement phone to get but to get back a Note 5 just because of the S-Pen seems so @!#@#%@#$%@#^#$^%#$@#!

Besides s7edge ... really no other phone we can get .... btw why is s7edge so expensive ?? I expect to drop to s7edge and get some compensation and not "exchange" with s7edge ....

+1 But honestly not a fan of the edge screen.. I choose to close one eye on the Note 7 solely because of the S-Pen..

I give up trying to explain to you guys, you BOUGHT the accessories which is your OWN choice, but expect Samsung to refund it back? I'm truly speechless...

Those accessories were bought with the intention to use it for 1 year at least, some will even use it for 3 years or more.
Now the accessories can not be used for this period due to a major fault by the manufacturer.

To me it's quite clear that the consumer has every right to get a refund for those items.
There is no way that the consumer could have anticipated that they could only use the phone for 2 or 3 months.

Honestly both not wrong... we live in boleh land where majority consumers are hardly exercising their consumer rights.. if we don't like something after we bought it.. we simply switch to another brand or company there next time.. in overseas consumers will tembak (sue/demand refund etc) to the party involve and normally for the refund process consumers will get what they want.. they just say : oh I don't line it anymore or I bought the wrong product and no questions asked to them again..

So sad we are in boleh land..

will the refund in oversea prohibitted the consumer to purchase back the same brand/model? otherwise is a loop , keep purchase and refund and misuse the consumer rights.

Dont think they will restrict but they trust you to note misuse that as well =)
