Been using Note since the first generation and this whole Note 7 fiasco saddens me. I have no words left to defend Samsung except for the fact that probably QC wasn't conducted thoroughly or some parties are truly involved in sabotaging the company. Nevertheless, they have to own up to the problem, which they're certainly doing so.

Currently waiting for more news to get refund for those who have gotten the replacement models. Also putting some serious thought into which phone should I get as a substitute. This is no easy task. It is extremely difficult if you've been using Note for years. Closest thing would probably be the S7 Edge for now but I'm not a fan of the sides which are too curved and the lack of stylus. With rumors on how the S8 would be like, I also find quite "shortchanged" in terms of time factor to get the S7E.

Besides the S7E, I'm also looking at the LGV20 (does not look as sexy as the N7 unfortunately), One Plus 3 (the camera could make me regret) and the Google Pixel. What will most of you guys be getting?

Congrats on first posting on post-count enable thread since 12 years ago laugh.gif

Anyway, I'm getting all the flagship and I don't regret bought Note7 on the pre-order day. This phone sure is a beast. I'm waiting for Note 7 6GB RAM and Blue Coral actually. Seems not coming at all?

So you're saying that you will continue to use it? Or will you just be keeping it as a part of your collection? Either way, it will never make it to our shores. This is tragic, we don't even live to see and feel the Blue Coral.

The Huawei range looks good especially the P9 since I'm quite a heavy Insta user but yeah, they still seem to be quite far from what the Note series has been offering. The experience has spoiled us all I believe.

It would be infuriating to see Samsung discontinuing the Note series just from this fiasco alone. Correct me if I'm wrong but it has been the Phablet which has set the benchmark for the other players. So far, none has managed to reach this level, not even in terms of how it blows. rolleyes.gif

I'm still waiting for the day of coexistence for the Apple and Android clans. Looks like it's not coming any day soon. After all, having cult-like mentality helps to boost sales. There's truly no use persuading. Users are already used to the experience and functionality of a particular OS. Why do you think the choice was made in the first place?

Back on topic, did anyone buy the phone from Blue Cube Online? Would help to know what's the procedure like for getting a refund or maybe a swap (with differential sum refunded of course). Will most likely involve calling customer support repeatedly and I'm a bit sick of this by now. I wish Celcom was more proactive.

Why are we arguing when it's obviously the time to get together and provide each other suggestions on how to move forward?

Anyway, I've contacted Celcom today (I bought mine together with 2 years contract) at approximately RM 2,400. Insisted that I have a reply by today and the customer service personnel was efficient enough to get back to me in less than an hour, told me that to revisit the outlet where I got my replacement unit from. I can either get a refund or phone swap.

Will be heading over after work to get a swap instead. Since I'm thinking about S7E, will try to negotiate for price difference. If they can sell N7 at RM2,499 (RP : RM 3k+) cause of my 2 years contract, I will try to argue for a cheaper price or else what's the bloody difference?

Like many said, if I truly wanted the S7E, I wouldn't have waited for so damn long. I AM angry with Samsung. It does feel like my time has been wasted just waiting for this phone and contacting customer service over and over again. Fortunately for me I've only invested RM 80 on Spigen clear case. I guess there's no choice but to lose on this. Guys, we can't always be on the winning side. Look at the brighter side, at least we have the Wireless Charger Dock, Travel Adapter, and Power Bank to keep. These three items should cost more than RM 600.

Went all the way to Blue Cube Publika since I was told by Blue Cube Online Customer Service that I can get a swap or refund today. Turns out the staff provided me the wrong information. I obviously raised hell and tried pressuring the guy at the counter. Long story short, I think users who bought from Telco will need to wait until 19th.

no use raising hell with counter guy. nothing he can do anyway.

Yes, I know he's quite powerless but being I'm personally handle customers day to day and sometimes there are special cases when customers really push it. I was trying my luck. Ended up chatting with him about how inefficient SME is.

I'm just slightly frustrated because I'll be traveling to Taiwan during the last week of October and I don't wanna get on the plane with N7. As much as I feel comfortable with using it, I don't wanna be judged as selfish but I also do not want to turn off my phone during the entire flight.

Most likely note 7 will be banned in flight the time you going to travel abroad.

Precisely why I require a swap before the trip. I could get another phone but I just fear that I'll miss out on any form of bonus compensation.

I called Blue Cube again today and the guy read me a scripted announcement. Gave him a piece of my mind because all I wanted was a very simple answer to the question of whether they will give me the full refund when the time comes? Because if that's guaranteed I will buy a new phone now. Customer Service couldn't answer and kept repeating his scripted interview, telling me to wait until 19th. What's taking them so long? If Samsung can call people on 13th then why must I wait until 19th for a call?

sabar la bang. You think communication between companies and within company's various branches and heads is that easy meh. Rest assure that as long as they don't honor it in due course then only you fucuk them. I would prefer they sorted out everything clear instead of half-cook messages every alternate day.

The last time they called me for replacement unit, it took them one week after the call for the unit to be delivered to the outlet. I will be flying the week after 19th, the urgency is slightly worrisome.

There's no reason why they need so many days to relay accurate information. The fact that they've (Celcom) taken whole 24 hours to relay half-cooked information annoys me. Whatever it is between the Telco(s) and SME has to be sorted out in a better manner.

The fact that we're still discussing here so frequently shows that most of us are still quite in the dark. If information was relayed properly in a clear and concise manner, we wouldn't be speculating. hmm.gif
