Been using without any SC since replacement. Got some (not only one) hairline marks on front glass. However you really need to see them at certain angles with bright light.
*
that's as good as no scratches. I've got some faint ones on my s7e as well, and i believe these are scratches on the oleophobic layer. which can be replaced.

i can't see these faint lines unless the screen is OFF and i tilt it at extreme angle under very bright lighting. and this doesn't happen during 99.99% of the time i'm using the phone so i don't even bother about these small details.

you guys are worrying about these SP and wraps and spending too much money on them. most of you have already tested going naked on pre-replacement phones and agree with the durability of the glass despite the GG5 video.

furthermore, samsung gave us 1 year screen protection warranty. you can replace the screen for free if you think it's not so perfect for you anymore. so just enjoy this beautiful phone naked and don't sweat the small stuff.

received the an email from Maxis today (like finally !!) asking me to double confirm the color i want.

initially opt for Gold but now heart fluttering between Gold or Black
gold seems like exclusive and black is so damn sleek but very norm

which is better ?
can share some of your honest opinions and criticism

both gold and black is good. non-black color with no casing gives the optical illusion of slightly smaller bezels, and looks like borderless display.

imo, gold is more common than this 'jet black'. black is the new gold. most men prefer black and girls more attracted to gold so if you prefer girls to look at you then go for gold.

nooooooooooooo my perfect phone!

now i'll just sit tight and wait for SME/telco how they plan to do the refund for telco contract sets.

i came from s7e so i don't want to swap for s7e cos for sure they'll treat s7e (3099) as same value as note 7 (3199) when it's obviously not in the real market.

I'm extremely annoyed, really with all the hassle we have to go through:-

1) Pre-order craze, waiting for hours to order, some even took leave
2) Money spent on SP, Casing, cables, etc
3) Hassle of transferring data, using the phone for short term, transfer again, and now don't know what to do
4) Reading tens of thousands of post to get updated with news etc

And now, what? Return phone? Refund? Damn.....

honestly..

collection of pre order cost me 1 day annual leave..

then replacement cost me another annual leave..

lagi 2nd recall / refund will sure cost me another day leave ...

haiz..
*
huh? collection and replacement need to take one day leave each? since i couldnt get preorder unit i went for telco unit as the offer is very attractive. they send to me while i'm just chilling in the office. even if i managed to grab preorder unit i wont waste my leave on that.

money spent on accessories would probably be refunded with valid receipt, similar to USA rumors. setting up phone not a problem for me. transferring phone data and set up only takes me at most 1 hour.

dunno why u guys so emotionally invested in the phone... relax guys it's just a phone.

for me i just feel slightly disappointed i might not be able to continue using this amazing phone. i'd hope for a 2nd recall too. if not would probably go for huawei mate 8 for a year due to it's size, battery life, and OIS camera while waiting for note 8.

also, i keep seeing the same guy having a few post in one page, you dont need to work?

Yesterday evening juz call DIGI. Apparently they know about the official statement from Samsung. Speaking to a girl name Selva. She said DIGI already got the info from Samsung. By this Friday, Samsung will release the official refund process procedure. I have double confirm with DIGI, they will full refund to us. Those with contract plan will get refund and depends on urself to switch to which contract or be contractless. All this process must be done in DIGI centre. They confirm will refund to us.

So, yesterday I went to buy the Huawei P9 Plus ady. Jump ship ady. Now my Note 7 RIP in the box waiting for refund to DIGI.

Again, refund procedure will out by this Friday according to DIGI. Is REFUND not EXCHANGE ya. Thank you

i guess 'contractless' means we can cancel our contracts and get full refund on phone price + advance payment.

shall wait for official statement from samsung. thanks.

Note 7 buyers in Thailand offered compensation

good 'comfort gift'!

10000 baht is like 1200 ringgit.

although i said i'd not go back to s7e, i'd not hesitate to grab this offer and would be very happy if a similar offer is given here by SME.

this'd last me till the note 8.

If choose to refund, they will get 2000baht.
Only if you choose not to refund, then you get RM1.2K for S7E, Note 5...
*
you got reading comprehension problem. both gifts are given PLUS refund. either cheap phone or 2000 baht cash voucher, presumably for samsung products at RRP which is not worth it.

why would anyone pay RM1.2k for another phone on top of what you'd paid for Note 7 which is now not in your hands anymore?

Why are we arguing when it's obviously the time to get together and provide each other suggestions on how to move forward?

Anyway, I've contacted Celcom today (I bought mine together with 2 years contract) at approximately RM 2,400. Insisted that I have a reply by today and the customer service personnel was efficient enough to get back to me in less than an hour, told me that to revisit the outlet where I got my replacement unit from. I can either get a refund or phone swap.

Will be heading over after work to get a swap instead. Since I'm thinking about S7E, will try to negotiate for price difference. If they can sell N7 at RM2,499 (RP : RM 3k+) cause of my 2 years contract, I will try to argue for a cheaper price or else what's the bloody difference?

Like many said, if I truly wanted the S7E, I wouldn't have waited for so damn long. I AM angry with Samsung. It does feel like my time has been wasted just waiting for this phone and contacting customer service over and over again. Fortunately for me I've only invested RM 80 on Spigen clear case. I guess there's no choice but to lose on this. Guys, we can't always be on the winning side. Look at the brighter side, at least we have the Wireless Charger Dock, Travel Adapter, and Power Bank to keep. These three items should cost more than RM 600.
*
agree on the point of not worth swapping for the S7E under contract, and we can most likely keep the valuable free items.

personally if i know you better i'd advise you to wait for more details, perhaps the refund package could be better than what you can negotiate with celcom.

for example there's a news(more like rumor since news site didnt have source linked), that samsung thailand will offer customer offer to purchase s7e at 10000baht (RM1.2k) plus refund.
